Lyford FAQs

The Wedding Website of Layne Rissolo and Harrison Croll
We highly recommend reviewing each of the below prior to your attendance at our wedding weekend in Lyford Cay.
Question

Why do we have to RSVP for the wedding by December 31, 2023?

Answer

Since Lyford is a private overnight club responsible for upholding certain security standards for its members, Lyford requires us to provide a list of every wedding guest who will be in attendance far in advance. They will also use this list to issue guest cards upon arrival at the Clubhouse. We understand plans are subject to change, so we only ask to RSVP for the ceremony by December 31, 2023. All other wedding events can be RSVP'd in traditional timing stated in the formal invitations to come.

Question

Where do I pick up my Lyford Cay Club Guest Pass?

Answer

All guests will need to obtain a guest card upon arrival (both if you are staying at the Lyford Cay Club or elsewhere). Please check in to the Main Club Desk with a valid credit card to obtain your guest card(s) for the weekend. The club restaurants and amenities will not accept credit cards or cash payment, so your guest card will serve as your method of payment while on club grounds. For those staying at the club, the guest passes will double as your room key.

Question

If I am staying outside of Lyford Cay, may I still use the club amenities?

Answer

Club amenities include the beach, pool, restaurants, fitness center, golf and tennis. Wedding guests staying outside of the Lyford Cay Club are eligible for a guest card. For wedding events, guest cards are not required. Please see the front desk in the LCC lobby and instructions above to receive a guest card for the duration of your stay. Please note additional fees may apply for golf and tennis reservations and all club amenities will only accept a LCC guest card as payment.

Question

Will I be missing out by not staying at the Lyford Cay Clubhouse?

Answer

No! Majority of our guests will be staying outside of the Lyford Cay Club. Each of our hotel recommendations in the "Travel & Accommodations" section offer a range of activities and attractions based on your desired stay. Lyford amenities will still be available for guests staying off property, please visit the front desk to obtain your guest card upon your initial visit to the Lyford Cay Club. Group transportation will be provided to and from all scheduled wedding events for our recommended hotels.

Question

Is cellphone usage allowed on the Lyford Cay Club Grounds?

Answer

Lyford Cay Club respects the peace and happiness of all its members and guests. Audible cellphone usage is strictly forbidden in most public areas of the Club, however, should you find yourself needing to make or answer a call, the nearest club staff will happily assist with securing you a private area to do so which will not disturb other club guests. Phone volumes should be kept off or on vibrate at all times. Cellphone usage for the purposes of taking pictures, messaging and browsing is permissible.

Question

Can I make reservations for Lyford Cay Club Restaurants?

Answer

Yes, LCC hotel guests as well as off-property guests with guest cards can make a reservation for any of the club dining locations, subject to their hours of operation, however no reservations are required for breakfast or lunch. Evening reservations must be made by 5:00pm daily by calling 1 (242) 362-4271, ext. 7558.

Question

Do you have a brief summary of LCC's dress code?

Answer

Although we recommend you review the full LCC Dress Code document located in the "Lyford Dress Code" tab prior to your arrival, below are a few general guidelines to follow: Blue jeans, denim jackets and clothing, cargo pants, emblazoned shirts and jackets, and soiled, ragged or torn clothing are not acceptable attire. Members and Guests are required to wear discrete bathing attire. Distastefully brief clothing, topless sunbathing and thong bathing suits on ladies, and bikini shorts on gentlemen, are not acceptable. For ladies with coverups which tie in the front, all restaurants including the poolside terrace will require additional clothing to be worn while dining, however strolling poolside in such a coverup or sarong is allowed. Shoes are required in all Club buildings and dining venues except around the pool and on the beach. Gentlemen are asked to remove hats indoors. Billed, baseball-style hats, or peaked caps, are not acceptable dining and bar attire except at the Beach Shack and Sand Bar. After 7:00pm, evening attire is generally required. In the Main Clubhouse and Little Club, gentlemen and boys 10 year and older can wear open-collared sport shirts and casual slacks; jackets and ties are optional. Ladies and girls 10 and older are asked to wear dresses or suits, or dress slacks and blouses.
