Anna is Layla’s cousin, but truly more like a sister. They grew up together sharing countless memories from working at the family pizza place, movie nights, and creating and recording their own dance routines. She introduced Layla to Eladio, making her a meaningful part of their love story from the very beginning.
David Espiritu
Best Man
David is Eladio’s friend and former coworker. He played a big role in training Eladio in the CVICU and they’ve grown close ever since. Most recently, they traveled to the Philippines together on a medical mission trip, providing surgical care to underserved communities.
Alyssa Gilbert
Matron of Honor
Alyssa is Layla’s best friend of nearly 20 years. They met in third grade, thanks to Mrs. Peat, and have been inseparable since. Some of their favorite memories are sleepovers at her house playing “Piggly Wiggly” IYKYK. Layla was in Alyssa’s wedding in 2022 and is excited to have her at her side again.
James Stevens
Groomsman
James is Eladio’s little cousin, but more of the little brother he always wanted. They spent many summers together in Michigan, a core part of both their childhoods. He’s always up for whatever adventure comes next.
Frances Sandefur
Bridesmaid
Frances is Eladio’s cousin and feels like a sister to them both. She and Layla have hung out often since moving to Indianapolis. Frances was present for their engagement, and Layla will be a bridesmaid at her wedding this fall.
Oliver Shou
Groomsman
Oliver is Eladio’s friend and former coworker. They became close working nights and spending time together outside of work. Whether it’s post-work breakfast, karaoke, Korean BBQ, or game nights, it's always fun.
Meagan Clifton

Meagan has been Layla’s friend since freshman year of HS and is a constant source of love and encouragement. She's genuine, shows up wholeheartedly, and supports everything you do. During nursing school, she and Eladio became close while studying and graduating together which Layla is so grateful for.
Jhoenas Padilla
Groomsman
Jhoenas is Eladio’s oldest cousin and his kuya, or older brother. One of Eladio’s earliest memories is Jhoenas introducing him to Edy’s ice cream and finishing cartons together. He always has good advice for Eladio.
