Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

💃 Our wedding dress code will be formal. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie, while ladies can opt for a floor-length gown or formal dress. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style! While the dress code for the wedding is formal, the dress code for the the Welcome Event will be elevated casual (think of a mix between resort casual or smart casual).

Question

Are there Ubers or taxis in Valle de Guadalupe?

Answer

🚕 Please note that Uber service is limited in Valle de Guadalupe, so plan for a longer pickup wait time. You can also ask the front desk of your hotel to call a taxi for you. We recommend either renting a car so you can explore the area freely, or staying at the El Cielo Resort where our wedding events will take place. 🚐 Please find some recommendations for private drivers listed below: - Lomas Travel: lomastravel.com - Wine Eat and Travel: wineeatandtravel.com - Baja Day Tripper: bajadaytripper.com - Ensenada Excursions: ensenadaexcursionsandtours.com - Tours y Hospedaje BAJA: toursyhospedajebaja.com

Question

What to know about crossing the border?

Answer

🛂 If you're driving from the U.S., you may cross via Tijuana (San Ysidro/Otay Mesa) or via Tecate (which tends to be less crowded). You’ll need Mexican auto insurance for every day you drive in Mexico. Be sure to carry a valid passport and bring cash (Mexican pesos) for tolls. Crossing times vary, especially during weekends and peak travel hours. You can check border wait times at https://bwt.cbp.gov. (If you plan to use the SENTRI lane to return to the U.S., note that everyone in the car needs to have their physical Global Entry cards with them, and the vehicle needs to be registered for SENTRI lane access through the Trusted Traveler Program).

Question

Will there be shuttles?

Answer

🚐 AIRPORT SHUTTLES 🔹We will provide a charter bus from the Tijuana airport to El Cielo Resort in Valle de Guadalupe, departing Friday, June 12 around 2:30pm and back on Sunday, June 14 around 10am. (For those arriving to San Diego, we're happy to help coordinate transportation with other wedding guests arriving at a similar time, if that would be helpful—please just let our wedding planner know.) 🚐 EVENT SHUTTLES 🔹On Friday, June 12, there will be shuttles to transport guests from the El Cielo hotel rooms to the Welcome Event at Latitud 32 (which is the restaurant on the other side of the El Cielo Resort property). There will also be a shuttle service from Hotel Boutique to the Welcome Event and then back at the end of the night. On Saturday, June 13, the ceremony will start at 3pm at the chapel at El Cielo, which is located next to the hotel rooms. The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour at "Bajo Las Estrellas" which is located next to the chapel. After the cocktail hour, there will be a shuttle service to transport guests to "Equinox" which is where the dinner and reception will take place. There will also be shuttles available to take guests back from Equinox to the rooms at the end of the night. For those staying at Hotel Boutique, we will also arrange a shuttle service to El Cielo—both before the ceremony and at the end of the night.

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

💌 Please RSVP by replying to the WhatsApp message from our wedding planners. Include if you plan to attend the Welcome event on Friday, June 12 as well so we can have an accurate headcount. If you have any dietary restrictions, please share those with our wedding planner when you RSVP. Lastly, please also share if you would like to join the airport shuttle service from Tijuana and back.
