Our story begins in Southern California when we met on the Cal Poly Pomona track team. Kyle started tutoring Hannah after she reached out needing extra help with her math class. We slowly started to build a friendship built on laughter, teaching, learning, and respect for one another. Our friendship began to strengthen throughout the remainder of our freshman year. Unfortunately, like many young adults, we let pride get in the way of our friendship and had a falling out leading into our sophomore year, this lasted well into the end of our sophomore year. However, thankfully, we were able to put aside our pride and get past our differences. Little did we know this would be a lesson we would continue to live and learn throughout the rest of our relationship and lives together. A quick fast-forward through the next couple of years goes a little like this. Hannah and Kyle continued to grow as friends and to Hannah’s credit, she remained by Kyle’s side through good times and bad knowing what our future together could be. Fast forwarding a little more, COVID came around and we didn’t know what the future would look like living three and a half hours from each other. We continued to grow and in July of 2020, we made it “official”, finally putting a label on our relationship. We stayed committed to each other and never let the geographical distance between us get in the way of our love for each other. In the past two years together, we have experienced trials and overcame each of them. We spent time with each other's families, went on vacations together, spent holidays and special occasions together, and went through loss together. Through all of that, we continued to let love win every time. Hannah knew early on that Kyle was the one she was supposed to marry. Staying true to form, Kyle took a little longer but ultimately knew that Hannah was his perfect match. Kyle set a date and on October 1st, 2022 Kyle asked Hannah to marry him. One question, lots of tears, and a simple yes changed our lives forever. Our story began in 2015 and has brought us to today. This is the beginning of the rest of our lives together. We will continue to laugh with each other, learn from each other, and love each other from now until the day our story ends.
