Colin met Amanda on a hot summer night in Austin, Texas in 2014. While they didn't meet studying at the library or sitting next to each other in class at the University of Texas, they did meet through mutual friends — at a frat party. Before you jump to any conclusions, this fraternity party does carry a special meaning to the couple because it was themed "Marriage and Divorce." That's right. They "got married" the very first night they met, and never divorced. Stories of their exact introduction differ depending on who you ask (Colin's is much more entertaining), but one thing is certain: they immediately connected. They both left the party that night with a plastic ring on their left hand and still have the mementos to this day. Two weeks after that champagne-filled night, they officially began their relationship. Now six years later, they're making their love and commitment officially official by saying "I Do" in 2021.

As you probably know, Amanda and Colin both share a love for adventure and traveling. On their third trip to Europe, Colin packed a special little box in his carry-on. They took a train-ride across Ireland to the Cliffs of Moher and hiked alongside grazing cows and trotting horses until they reached the very end of their journey. Colin bent down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him on the cliffs overlooking the sea in Doolin, Ireland. Amanda said "yes" with happy tears and giggles. Colin then picked her up and twirled her around, forgetting that they were on the edge of a cliff. They went on to celebrate their engagement with champagne toasts, where everything came full circle (this time with a real ring).
