Emily and Julian first met when they were colleagues in different departments at Yelp, Inc. in San Francisco, CA. After playing together on the company's recreation league basketball team, they started going to dinner after each game. One Friday night, Julian and Emily went to their colleagues' favorite bar around the corner from their workplace, Pink Elephant. There, Julian bought Emily a Moscow Mule (a version of this drink will be served at the wedding) and they had a blast throughout the evening. Right there at the bar, Julian ended up telling Emily how he REALLY felt about her (and her mad skills on the basketball court) - from there the rest was history!

After hiding the engagement from Emily for 7 months, Julian surprised Emily with a ring during their first trip to Disneyland together. Family and friends (even the Vann's family dog, Blackjack) traveled down to Disneyland and surprised Emily in New Orleans Square, just as Julian got down on one knee to pop the big question. Everyone spent the day celebrating at the park and having drinks at Oga's Cantina, the Star Wars- themed bar. It was a magical day!
