Twas a crisp, chilly, Chicago evening in January. Sarah Elizabeth entered the world. I met Sarah January 16th, 1998- when she was born and I became a big sister! Sarah has been by my side faithfully since (her) day 1 and I could not imagine this big day without her next to me. Growing up together, Sarah has been an essential part of my life; and subsequently of my relationship with Javier. She's done her best vetting, requested and received a pillow pet as a token of her approval, and has welcomed Javier into our family with open arms. - Katie

“I met Katie back for the first time in late 2013 when I visited WMU for the weekend. She and Joel towed me along to this event they were going to for a class; long story short, it was an AA meeting. A year went by and that fall I had transferred to Western. Katie would invite me over to the dorms every Thursday for “ladies’ night” and that is where our friendship really began. From then on we’ve been partners in crime, roommates, brothers, twins, and house party hosts. Our friendship now spans a greater distance, but it’s only growing stronger. ☀️🌙 “ - Leila

Our friendship has thrived with multiple cross country moves and I’m so excited to see how we grow. “I met Javier back in 2007 when we both made the Gregory middle school soccer team. At first, I thought I was going to hate him because we were both so competitive with each other, but that ended up being the factor that started our relationship. Soon, we started hanging out daily and having sleepovers to play ping pong, pool, Call of Duty, and bouncing on the trampoline. We both tried to beat the other in anything we did which strove us both to become better. This went on throughout high school, adding new hobbies to the mix; weightlifting, golf and frisbee golf to name a few. In each we drove each other’s progression and that’s why we’re both so awesome nowadays. I love this kid to death, and he has my vote whenever he runs for president of the world!” -Mike

“Well I met Javi junior year of college in Econ class. I was wearing a Manchester United Jersey and one day Javi was like “nice jersey“. Turns out we both liked soccer and that’s how we got talking in class. Then he invited me out to the bar with his friend Zack which was a night to remember... Javi and I bring up whenever we see each other lol. Before long we were making Burger King runs before class would start, playing indoor soccer together, playing games together. “I met Hannah on a cool, fall night in October at a festival called Freaky Deaky.. we met just briefly however the universe decided that was simply not enough!
