Things To Do

If you have some extra time and are looking for things to do, here are a few ideas along with some of our favorite places!
Hyde Park

Hyde Park

1413-1620 North 13th Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is right by our first apartment together and is one of our favorite areas in Boise. Cute, small street with just a few coffee houses, eateries and shops. Walk along 13th street and check out Hyde & Seek (cute gifts and home goods), grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich at Certified Kitchen + Bakery and then if you are up for an adventure, walk north to Camel's Back Park for some nature and trails.

Mad Swede Brewing Company

Mad Swede Brewing Company

816 West Bannock Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is THE place to get beer in Boise. Well, we might be a little biased because Mike brews the beer, Lauryn designs the beer labels and merch, and our jazz trio has been known to play a gig or two at their new downtown location! But seriously, the beer is really good. Head to the downtown Brew Hall or visit their Cole Road location (2772 S Cole Rd #140, Boise, ID 83709) to see where Mike brews! He may even give you a tour if you ask nicely... ;)

Bittercreek Alehouse

Bittercreek Alehouse

246 North 8th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Hands down our favorite spot to get food and beers. They have absolutely delicious food made with locally sourced ingredients. If you want a taste of Boise, this is the place! The salads are superb and their burgers and fries are the best in town!

Mixed Greens | Modern Gifts

Mixed Greens | Modern Gifts

213 North 9th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Cutest shop downtown filled with home goods, local artwork, jewelry and other handmade goods. Look for Lauryn's illustrations on Ladybug Press greeting cards and coasters!

Form & Function

Form & Function

511 West Broad Street, Boise, ID 83702

Lauryn's favorite coffee spot. Order the avocado toast! They have the choice of sourdough or gluten free. What else could you possibly want?

AMANO

AMANO

702 Main Street, Caldwell, ID 83605
, (208) 453-6410

If you are staying closer to the wedding venue, or you have extra time on Saturday before the ceremony, definitely grab food at Amano. This is one of the newer restaurants in Caldwell (where our alma mater, The College of Idaho, is located) and is quite possibly the best Mexican food we've ever tasted. Not to mention a lovely atmosphere and amazing drinks!

Ste. Chapelle Winery & Tasting Room

Ste. Chapelle Winery & Tasting Room

19348 Lowell Road, Caldwell, ID 83607
, (208) 453-7840

Just 15 minutes from Fox Canyon Vineyards on your way to the wedding, this winery is the first wine tasting date we had together. If you are wanting a wine tasting fix and have time before the ceremony, this is the perfect place to spend it! Also, if have time for more wine, there are a ton of amazing wineries in the area. Some of our favorites are Scoria, Sawtooth, Koenig, and Hells Canyon. Link to all wineries in the area here: https://sunnyslopewinetrail.com/
