Getting Around

Uber & Taxis: Uber is available, but taxis are also reliable and can be hailed on the street (look for the green light on top). You can also use the Cabify app for rides. Public Transport: Barcelona has a great metro and bus system. The T-Casual card (€12.55) gives you 10 rides and works on buses, metro, and trains. Walking-Friendly: Many areas, like the Gothic Quarter and El Born, are best explored on foot—wear comfy shoes!

Meal Times: Lunch is usually 1:30–3:30 PM, and dinner starts late (8–10 PM). Many restaurants close between lunch and dinner. Tipping: Not required but appreciated—round up the bill or leave 5-10% at restaurants.

Language: Spanish and Catalan are spoken, but many people speak English in tourist areas. Currency: Barcelona uses the Euro (€), and credit cards are widely accepted. When paying by card, always select to be charged in Euros rather than your home currency to get a better exchange rate. Safety: Barcelona is safe but watch out for pickpockets, especially in busy areas like Las Ramblas and the metro.
