We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding day to be your day off! However, children are invited to join us at the Welcome Dinner on July 3 and the Farewell Breakfast on July 5, to grab a Picnic Box lunch, and to enjoy the estate for the duration of your stay.
This is the place to be! Our wedding is not just about us. It's about all of us, and we want to maximize the time we spend together while enjoying this wonderful setting. We know you will love The Manor House as much as we do. We've negotiated special rates for our guests, and there are a variety of room types available so that we are all guaranteed a unique, but equally wonderful stay.
Plan your arrival for the early afternoon of July 3. Rooms are guaranteed to be available by 3pm, and there are plenty of great spaces indoors and out where you can relax. As rooms become available, the hotel staff will gladly grant you access. Check out on July 5 is at 11am.
You sure can. Do so by booking directly with The Manor House, rather than through our exclusive booking site (the only place to reserve rooms for July 3 and July 4). Be sure to book with The Manor House in Castle Combe. There are other hotels with the same name, but only one in Castle Combe. The wedding ceremony will be indoors. Weather permitting, the drinks reception immediately following will be outdoors. Our reception dinner and after party will be held inside the Manor House.
We ask that you please turn off your cellphones & cameras during the ceremony. Don't worry, we have hired a photographer and will have a lot of photos to share with you after the wedding.

The Welcome Dinner will be hosted on the lawn, so you may want to rethink those stiletto heels for this event! However, go ahead and pack those fancy shoes for our wedding day, as the Wedding Ceremony, Cocktails, and Reception Dinner will be held indoors or on paved surfaces.
During the day, the weather should be beautiful, averaging 71 F, but will cool down at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evenings and a rain jacket in case of a few English showers. We'll have a lot of daylight as sunset is at 9:30pm.
Good Question. The UK uses type G, while the rest of Europe uses Type C plugs. If you're extending your trip to include other countries, pack both adapters types. Note that the outlets in England operate at 230 V/50 Hz, so double check your appliances (hair dryers, curling irons, shavers, etc) and whether you need a power adapter before plugging in!
