Maid of Honor
My favorite sister. We go way back to the days of matching Old Navy sweatshirts at Uplands Elementary school. Also known as #myonlyfriend.
Best Man
Met this English-Canadian ATLien in high school health class. Since then, Alex (Zander) has racked up titles as my coworker, roommate, sous chef, and music video tastemaker.
Bridesmaid
Met first day of college at Duke in August 2008 and have been inseparable ever since. She can quote every single Friends episode and loves Harry Potter as much as me.
Groomsman
We met orientation week at Duke and have since traveled the world together. He never forgets my mom's birthday and will probably tell you he can beat me on the basketball court.
Bridesmaid
Solidified our friendship during 5th grade basketball when we would eat Mexican Pizzas from Taco Bell while sharing the front seat in Steve's Durango.
Groomsman
This man of mystery and fellow dog lover taught me everything I know on N64 SSB. He was twice my roommate at Duke, a frequent resident of my couch in New York, and (maybe) a one-time winner of the Westport MDW Knockout Tournament of Champions.
Bridesmaid
Lived on the same hall freshman year at Duke and later became roommates in Florence and Erwin Terrace (Apt 36 for life). Fun fact: Elis and Alex went to high school together in CT.
Groomsman
I also met the loudest member of our wedding party at Duke. Some say the echo of his laugh can still be heard in the woods of central campus. You can probably find him by the bar, leading an impromptu wine tasting.
Bridesmaid
First met on the halls of Southgate at Duke in 2008. She's my favorite Duke cheerleader and my go to when I need french fries and rose (AKA always).
Groomsman
Josh made The Vest the fashion icon that it is today. He's been my two-on-two partner since high school (unfortunately for Zach and Zander) and is now Luna's #1 fan.
Bridesmaid
Yes, we've known each other since jr. high, but our best days are from 366 Broome Street. I wouldn't have survived the NYC life without her.
Groomsman
I met Mike at the beginning of college basketball season a few years ago, and I knew we would get along great after he pulled out some obscure ACC references. I'm hoping that joining his family will help me finally win his March Madness pool.
Bridesmaid
Sorority sisters in TriDelt at Duke and soon-to-be sisters IRL. This gal is a world-traveler, skilled at cooking Moroccan meals, and is always down to devour a freshly baked loaf of bread with me.
Groomsman
Brother-in-law to-be who will fix anything that needs fixing this weekend. He graciously passed along his wisdom of PNW beer and how to handle a hungry Duin girl.
Bridesmaid
Shea asked me over to her house in 6th grade. I lied and said I had plans to go to the Street of Dreams with my parents because I was scared (??). She called back and asked about the next day and I said yes. The rest is history.
Groomsman
I met the godfather of misspelling words and MacGyvering belts when he was president of a Duke group I participated in. I've sorely missed playing tennis and pickup hoops with Tyler since his move to Tasmania (actually).
Bridesmaid
We shared a cabin at Wild Horse in 2003 and later became besties sophomore year of high school. She graciously taught me the moves to the Laker Dancer performances and was always by my side through teenage shenanigans.
Groomsman
I knew Dan from Duke but I really got to know Big Acq in New York. The best hype man of the 2010s always has an ice cream, a funny story, or a billion-dollar idea to share with me.
Groomsman
Zach, affectionately called Eddie Haskell by my dad, has been cracking jokes at my expense since 2005-ish. We are collectively devastated his signature thumbs-up (pictured) will not be making an appearance this weekend.
