Lauren and William met while working at their first job! Lauren’s mom actually knew William before Lauren even started the job and always spoke highly of him. When Lauren started the job she was trained by one of William’s sisters, who also worked with them, for weeks before Lauren and William even spoke! Eventually, Lauren and William had opportunities to work side by side and began talking inside and outside of work. Originally they had alternating schedules that only overlapped by one or two days so Lauren and William would text daily outside of work. William also made many trips up to the store on his days off just to visit and talk with Lauren while she worked. After a lot of texting, many work visits, and even spectating at one of Lauren’s volleyball games, William asked Lauren out on a date! After their relationship was official, they changed their schedules to work on the same days and they continued to work together for another 2 years before William left to move on to bigger and better endeavors!
We decided to make it official on August 31st, 2019 during a date at the Geauga County Fair! Now most years we spend our anniversary at the fair and cherish all the memories we made there!
After a very stressful college semester for Lauren, her and William decided to go on a trip to get away! They decided to go to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia! On the second day there, Lauren and William spent the day in Shenandoah National Park sightseeing, hiking, and exploring the park. On one particular overlook Lauren spotted a small path that led into the woods. They decided to see where it led and followed the path into the woods until it opened up to a private rock overlook. Lauren went to the edge to take photos of the scenery with her camera and when she turned around William was on one knee! After saying yes and taking many photos together, they continued their day in the park hiking and taking many photos of the scenery. That night they celebrated their engagement with dinner at Olive Garden! Back at the airbnb, they played Uno and told a few family members about the engagement. They kept their engagement a secret for the next few days and finished telling the rest of their friends and family once they got back home!
The wedding date of August 31st holds a lot of significance to us because it will be our 5 year anniversary!
