Maid of Honor
College roommate, volleyball superstar, sweet soul, and compassionate friend - Jewell and I have been inseparable since the first year of college. She is the most sincere support and most wonderful friend, no matter how different our lives appear. Jewell is an English teacher and volleyball coach at a local high school in Hendersonville, TN.
Best Man
It has taken me the majority of my life to realize that Jeff was the little, annoying, younger brother I always needed. We are now one another’s number one fans. I am so impressed with the man Jeff has become. His ambition and enthusiasm are second to none and have led to tons of success socially and professionally. Jeff lives in Lake Orion and when he’s not working, you can either find him on his pontoon or golfing at Indianwood.
Bridesmaid
Katie and I have been best friends since fifth grade. Grade school, middle school, and high school would not have been the same without her. She has a kind and genuine heart. Katie is the closest thing to a sister I have ever had.
Groomsman
John Beardsley and I started our friendship in 6th grade. Through middle school and high school, there weren’t many days we went without being next to each other - generally doing something sports related. We are currently through 12 consecutive years of being golf partners for the Chili Open. Beardsley has always shown love and loyalty for others and currently lives in Holly, Michigan with his wife and their two boys.
Bridesmaid
Part of the 3 amigos (with Jewell) from college volleyball, Claire is kind and exceptionally thoughtful. She is always in the present and brings so much joy and sincerity to our friendship. She is currently a first-grade teacher in Nashville.
Groomsman
Spencer Nimmo helped me pass high school physics but the relationship blossomed during a 2013 lunch date. It was clear that day that we needed to be there for one another in our adult lives. Consistently picking each other up when down has been a theme of our friendship. Spencer and I also greatly enjoy battling one another on the golf course or just sitting around a campfire or football game for our much needed debriefs. Spencer works for GM and is a couple years into being a homeowner in Waterford, Michigan.
Bridesmaid
I met Lucy during our third year of medical school within a few days of moving to Michigan. One of the closest adult friends I have, Lucy has the most generous heart. Her joy for life is absolutely contagious and seen in her smile. Lucy is now a second-year OBGYN resident in Michigan.
Groomsman
Brennan has been someone who has always believed in me - in some of the most critical times where I doubted myself most. He has the ability to think creatively and outside the box in the most difficult scenarios. Brennan taught me how to play tennis and how to compete, but most importantly, how to hold myself accountable. While our timing couldn’t have been worse, Brennan and his beautiful family returned to Michigan in 2021 (days within our move to Nashville) after being in Virginia since 2012. Fortunately for us, distance has never been able to affect our friendship.
Bridesmaid
Sister-in-law and dear friend, Ellen sees the best in everyone she meets. She is a loyal friend and a fantastic mom. We first met in college at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes retreat and then again several years later when she met my brother/her husband, Mike. She and Mike live in Kansas City and have a beautiful-year-old son, Dominic.
Groomsman
If you have ever golfed with Mike Ford you may find this hard to believe, but as amazing of a golfer as he is, Mike is an even better father, husband, son, and brother. I am continually impressed with how kind and supportive of an older brother he is to Lauren. Watching him has helped me become a better older brother to Jeff. I appreciate the model he has set for how to put family first, just like his father, Chuck, always has.
Groomsman
Mike Rapin and I first met at Holly High School in 2004. It was my first year as a student and Rapin’s first year as a teacher at Holly High. Like he has done for thousands of students, Mike Rapin was an incredible mentor for me. Not just academics and athletics but in life and how to treat people the right way. In more recent years, we spend our time together biking, watching sports, and sharing a ton of laughs. Rapin is always putting other people first and willing to do anything for his friends and family. Rapin and his incredible son, Hank, live in Clarkston, Michigan.
