FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive about 15 minutes early to the ceremony that will start promptly at 1:30pm

Question

Can I tailgate?

Answer

NO - Reminder: This is a Catholic wedding and while there will be plenty of opportunity after the ceremony to partake in adult beverages, there will be no drinking on the premises of the Church.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

WEDDING: Formal attire please, such as suits for the gentlemen and cocktail dresses or gowns for the ladies. WELCOME RECEPTION: dressy-casual is appropriate (some will be in cocktail dresses or slacks, some will be going or coming from down town).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love all of your kids, we will be hosting an adult-only reception.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotels that we have blocks with are listed on our travel page. To get the discounted rate, please book no later than October 4th.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let Lauren or Will know if there are any specific food allergies. We are already planning to accommodate those with milk and nut allergies.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Ceremony - Christ the King is about 10 minutes from the Hutton Hotel. They do have a good sized parking lot if you wish to drive. Reception - The Hutton Hotel has a parking garage. There will be a discounted rate for our group that will be "validated" with a sticker possibly from the front desk. I do not know the exact price.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend using the apps either Uber or Lyft to get to the ceremony. After the ceremony, there will be some downtime that you can stop at a couple of bars in Midtown or return to your hotel for some rest before the reception begins.

Question

How does Nashville work with daylight savings time?

Answer

As far as I know, daylight savings time is still a thing this year. This weekend, and November 5th specifically, could be the last daylight savings time! Clocks fall back at 2am. This means the bars will be open an extra hour on Saturday night if you are looking for a night cap after the reception. Great for boozers on Broadway ... not as fun for an ER doc working the overnight.

Question

What will weather be like in early November in Nashville?

Answer

Weather varies greatly in the city, generally, we will see highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Please be sure to check the weather prior to your travel. All events are indoor and climate controlled.
