Will there be transportation to & from the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will have a trolley service available for guests starting at 3pm at the Ogunquit River Inn! We will also provide services back to your hotel or rental at the end of the evening! If you are staying at a property other than the Ogunquit River Inn, please let Lauren & Tyler know, and we will do our best to accommodate your transportation! In the words of Lionel Richie, we want everyone to party ALL NIGHT LONG!

What's the new plan?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 we are still uncomfortable hosting a large gathering, so instead we will be hosting a small number of guests from our families while offering a zoom ceremony to ensure we can celebrate with all our loved ones! We are so disappointed that our plans have had to change, but it is our top priority to keep our loved ones (that's you!) safe!

Will masks be required?

Answer

We strongly encourage our guests to bring masks, and to wear them if they are uncomfortable in public settings! We want our guests to feel safe and loved!

What are you doing to keep us safe through COVID-19?

Answer

We are taking numerous steps to ensure our guests are safe during our big day! Our biggest fear is that one or more of our loved ones may contract the virus due to our event. In order to prevent this, we are asking our guests (that's you!) to be smart, wash your hands, and please wear a mask if you are concerned in a public setting. We will be offering wristbands to each guests as well, that will allow for guests to see if another guest is comfortable to be approached or if they would prefer to be kept at a safe distance apart. While we aren't requiring negative COVID tests to attend our event, it would mean the world to us if you were tested in a timely manner before the event.

When should we book our hotel?

Answer

Please begin looking for hotels or rental homes ASAP! We believe the Maine area will be booking up faster than ever this year, and may hotels are still limiting their number of guests. We want to ensure everyone has a great time, so please reach out if you are having trouble booking a place to stay!

Where is the venue?

Answer

Our venue is Josias River Farm, in Cape Neddick, Maine. It is a private estate featuring beautiful grassy fields, lush gardens, and a historic 18th century barn. The event will be entirely outdoors, so please be prepared with appropriate attire. The address is 171 LOGGING ROAD, CAPE NEDDICK, ME 03902.

What should we expect at the venue?

Answer

Our venue is a beautiful outdoor garden that will have a large tent and an 18th century barn! Both the ceremony and reception will be held there, and there is free parking on site. Our event will be all outdoors, which unfortunately means no air conditioning and lots of grass. Please wear comfortable shoes, we want everyone to be able to dance the night away!

What is the weather like in Southern Maine in August?

Answer

It is usually beautiful in Maine that time of year, with temperatures around 80 degrees throughout the day and temperatures in the low 70s at night. Sme days can be humid and rain is definitely a possibility! Please make sure to bring appropriate shoes and clothing for our venue.

Should we rent a car for the weekend if we are flying in?

Answer

Yes, please! We want to offer as much help with travel accommodations, as possible, but we feel the best way for you to enjoy the weekend is to rent a vehicle or to drive up to Maine so you can explore the area.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in semi-formal garden party attire. Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors in a grassy area and you'll be walking across a lawn, we recommend avoiding traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Plenty of free parking.

What if it rains?!

Answer

We will do the best we can in the event of rain at our wedding, including moving our ceremony and reception activities into covered areas. In the event of rain please be aware that there will be mud/wet grass at our venue.
