🏔️ Hikes
Multnomah Falls | This will be a quick pit stop on your way in to or out of Hood River! This waterfall is stunning and accessible, immediately off the main route to Hood River. It's the tallest waterfall in Oregon! Tom McCall Point Trail | A 3mile short, scenic, with wildflowers and amazing views of the cliffs and the river. Mosier Plateau Trail | A 3-mile loop offering sweeping views of the Gorge. Described as a lovely hike with stunning views of the Columbia River. Wahclella Falls | 3 mile out and back. One of our favorite hikes to take out of town friends. High bang for your buck and a dope waterfall. Dog Mountain | 7 mile HARD loop with over 3k feet in elevation gain. Honestly a bitch of a hike but THE best wildflowers and views of the gorge. One of our absolute favorites in the Spring. Angel's Rest | Moderate 4.8 mile out and back. Beautiful views of the gorge and another favorite to take friends from out of town. Check out the website link for more incredible hikes!
🍺 Breweries
FERMENT | Near the waterfront with an outdoor second-floor patio where you can catch some windsurfing and kiteboarding action. Our favorite brewery in Hood River! Has cocktails and great food. PFRIEM | Grab a beer and some to-go and cross the street to picnic on the waterfront! Their beers have won many awards around the world, and they also have great food. FULL SAIL BREWING | Great brewery in hood river with fun beers and good food. Great patio! DOUBLE MOUNTAIN | Downtown Hood River. Brews and Cider. Pizza and sometimes live music! EVERYBODY'S BREWING | Downtown White Salmon (just across the river in Washington), outdoor seating with views of Mt. Hood. Great food. SOLERA | If you adventure south of Hood River to hike, fruit pick, or visit any of the lakes, this will likely be on your route nearby. A good lunch spot + brewery combo with a large backyard with picnic tables.
🍷 Wineries
We highly recommend reservations for tastings! HIYU WINE FARM | Our absolute favorite vineyard in Hood River. Wild-crafted wines, beautiful setting. Fun fact, this is where we went for dinner after we got engaged! COR CELLARS | Another favorite of ours. Beautiful scenery and gorgeous wines. You can book a little private tent or drink in their tasting room/roof. LOOP DE LOOP WINES | Another one of our favorites on the Washington side. Sip incredible wines in the wildflowers with a view of Hood River. HAWKINS CELLARS | Washington vineyard close to Hood River - beautiful views and a great tasting room. WY'EAST | Family owned vineyard with tasting room and food truck, indoor/outdoor space with a beautiful view of Mt.Hood. GARNIER | Small, lovely vineyard right on the water. STAVE AND STONE | Amazing location, beautiful view of Mt. Hood and incredible rose. IDIOT’S GRACE | Sprawling winery and farm east of Hood River in Mosier, OR. Also has a wonderful u-pick farm.
🍽️ Restaurants
SUGARPINE DRIVE IN | One of our favorite stops driving out to Hood River. Stop on the way out! You must get the ice cream. SOLSTICE PIZZA | Really amazing pizza - one of our favorite spots in Hood River. Recommend making a res or going early since it gets busy! GRASSLANDS BBQ | Incredible BBQ coming out of a food truck right behind Ferment. SO good. Make sure to get in line early (it opens at 11am) they frequently run out of things. GOLDEN GOODS | Vegetarian spot! Great sandwiches and breakfast. LAKE TACO | Casual spot for tacos and burritos. RIVERSIDE RESTAURANT & LOUNGE | Waterfront dining (the only one right on the river) with strong views of the Columbia and Mt. Hood; elevated American-Italian fare. CELIO | Farm-inspired Pacific Northwest cuisine in a refined yet comfortable downtown setting; great for a special dinner. Also highly suggest breweries suggested above for great dinner options!

BRODER OST | Scandinavian restaurant with incredible brunch. Also has lunch! But a favorite for breakfast. DOPPIO COFFEE | Great little coffee shop. We always stop in to get a quick pick me up with great coffee. GROUND ESPRESSO BAR & CAFE | Local roaster café, scratch-made pastries, breakfast sandwiches & paninis; great for a relaxed start. KICKSTAND COFFEE | Coffee shop + kitchen + patio + bike-shop fusion space; donuts, breakfast and strong coffee in one fun venue. BETTE'S PLACE | Classic diner, feels like your grandma made breakfast. BEST cinnamon rolls that are the size of your head. EGG RIVER CAFE | Family favorite for breakfast & brunch; hearty plates, friendly vibe, home-style cooking. PINE STREET BAKERY | Artisan bakery café in the Heights district; bread, pastries, brunch options and excellent coffee.
⛵️ Things To Do
PADDLE BOARD | Rent a paddle board and take in the gorgeous views. Gorge Paddling Center or Hood River SUP + Kayaking are great spots. VISIT MT HOOD | Timberline lodge is a historic Oregon landmark where they shot the outside of the shining. You can pop up and do some incredible hikes, enjoy some sections of the PCT, go to the lodge and get lunch or dinner. FRUIT LOOP | Drive or e-bike the 35 mile 'Fruit Loop'. It's a ton of beautiful fruit farms in a loop in Hood River where you can wine taste, eat, fruit pick, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. HOOD RIVER THINGS | Waucoma Bookstore, Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum, Columbia Center for the Arts, Flow Studio - Yoga, Go watch the kite surfers on the river. SPA | Society Hotel in Bingen + Soaking Pools are beautiful and very relaxing and you can book time there even if you aren't staying in the hotel. GOLF | Indian Creek Golf Course is minutes from Hood River with beautiful views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams
