When To Arrive

We are so incredibly excited to see you in Ireland, thank you for making the trip to celebrate with us! Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, we hope you take this as an opportunity to explore, unwind, and enjoy a little adventure along the way. We’ll be hosting welcome drinks in Dublin on Saturday evening, May 9th, and the wedding will take place the following day at Tankardstown House in the countryside. We recommend arriving in Dublin by Friday, May 8, to give yourself a chance to settle in, adjust to the time zone, and maybe even squeeze in a nap or a pint before the festivities begin.

Where To Stay

While we would love for everyone to stay at the venue the night before the wedding, Tankardstown is fully booked on Saturday night, so guests should plan to stay in Dublin and check out on Sunday, May 10th before the wedding. On Sunday afternoon, we’ll head to Tankardstown House for the wedding! The entire country house will be reserved just for our guests that night. Rooms are available at a special group rate, and if you’d like to keep the weekend going, you’re welcome to stay an extra night on Monday to relax and enjoy a little more time together. We highly encourage staying onsite at Tankardstown the night of the wedding, not only because we want to soak up every moment with you, but also because transportation back to Dublin late at night will be limited due to the remote location of the venue.

Travel Note

Getting To The Venue

We’ll provide a shuttle from Dublin to Tankardstown on the afternoon of the wedding. The ride is about an hour, and we’ll ask everyone to come dressed for the day and bring their luggage with them. Guests should plan to check out of their accommodation in Dublin before boarding the shuttle. If you'd prefer to rent a car, parking is available at the venue. Just note that Uber and rideshare services are not reliable in this area, so if you plan to return to Dublin that night, we strongly recommend arranging a car service in advance, we’ll provide recommendations. Check in at Tankardstown begins at 3pm on May 10th.

Getting Back To Dublin

We know everyone’s travel plans will vary after the wedding. Since Tankardstown is in the countryside and Uber isn’t reliable, we recommend arranging transportation in advance back to Dublin or the airport (about a 60-minute drive). You can book rides here: dublin-airportcollections.net (private vans for 1–8 people are typically ~€250 total). We also recommend downloading WhatsApp and emailing the company ahead of time to get your driver’s number so you can easily coordinate with them on the day. If you’re continuing your travels, it’s easiest to go back through Dublin or rent a car from the airport. As always, let us know if you need anything at all!
