Do I really need to say more? How can you come to Florida and Not go to Disney? Things have changed a bit since the pandemic, but Disney still holds its magic and its still the most magical place on Earth. You do need to buy your tickets in advance and reserve whatever days you plan on going to the park(s). Unfortunately, you do need to pay for fastpass now. But don't let that steer you away from experiencing the magic.
Home to Harry Potter, Minions, the Simpson family and many other loved characters, Universal is a great place to go if you love thrill rides, magical spells and everything in between. From fire breathing dragons, to wild rides on Hagrid's motorcycle, Universal and Islands of Adventure is sure to give you our fill of thrill.
Home to dolphins, sharks, stingrays, penguins, killer whales and many more animals, SeaWorld Orlando is definitely worth visiting if you love everything animal to roller coaster. Mako is the tallest roller coaster in central florida and can also reach speeds of 74mph. There are plenty of shows and exhibits to visit to get upclose and personal with some of the ocean's most famous residents.
Florida has lots of springs to visit, swim and explore. Wekiwa (pronounced We-Ki-va) springs is 30 minutes from downtown and offers lots of swimming, hiking and day tripping opportunities.
Winter Park (our hometown) is full of quaint shops, restaurants, photo spots and Rollins College. Park Ave is a historic locations which is definitely worth the visit.
I know it sounds crazy, but trust me. There are some days in october here in Orlando where the weather is still 90+ degrees. Most of the tourists have gone home for the summer, meaning that most of the water parks are pretty much empty. There's a great chance that you'll be able to walk right onto some of the park's most popular rides with minimal wait times. Aquatica has also been voted the best water park in Florida and is also open year round.
This roadside attraction is great for all things redneck and alligator related. Florida is the alligator capital of the world, so you can really gator your heart out at Gatorland. From zip lines to seeing native Florida species such as the Florida panther and bobcats, Gatorland is sure to have every type of silly tourist trap to keep you going.
