The site of the famous deli scene from WHEN HARRY MET SALLY has incredible pastrami sandwiches and happens to be quite close to our church! Head's up - There's often a line, and the sandwiches'll cost over $20/each, but it's worth it! Pick up & delivery is offered.
The site of the first/oldest espresso machine in America is a darling, timeless Italian cafe right by Washington Square Park. It's also been featured in tons of movies including INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS and THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR. Stop by for a coffee or a light bite.
This Irish saloon -- the oldest pub in the city -- serves two kinds of beer: light and dark! A favorite of Lauren & Ted's, this place gets pretty packed during the evening, but is worth a stop if you enjoy beer and NYC landmarks! The decor is historic and the floor is often covered in sawdust, just like old times.
This European cafe has incredible cookies, cakes, coffees and more. A lovely spot for an after dinner treat and a chat. Our favorite is "Rainbow Cookies" aka "Flag Cookies" - seven-layer delights made with almond cake, raspberry jam and dark chocolate! Just trust us and try some!
This Ukrainian diner serves incredible food + beer and wine. It was one of Lauren's college favorites. Open 24/7 this quality spot is great for breakfast, lunch or a midnight dinner. Consider trying the pierogis, borscht (soup!), sandwiches, pancakes or a dessert! The above photo is from OCEAN'S 8, but when you're there, you'll feel like you're inside a classic rom-com.
Ted's mom, Marg, makes the *best* cheesecake. But since she might be taking the week off, Eileen's is the next best thing. Lauren used to go here all the time during her NYU days. (It's MUCH better than Junior's, promise!!!) And near our church.
