Mount Hood Railroad
Enjoy a scenic train ride from town up the Hood River gorge. Or pedal a tandem motorized rail-bike for a more unique experience.
Multnomah Falls
This is a must stop for anyone making the drive between Portland and Hood River. Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in Oregon and is located immediately next to interstate 84 at exit 31. The waterfall viewing platform, restaurant, and gift shop are just a short walk from the parking lot. For those who want to see even more waterfalls, the Multnomah-Wahkeena Falls Loop is a challenging trail accessible from the same parking lot. This 5 mile loop climbs 1500 ft, and takes a few hours.
Hood River Winery Tour
Take a tour of three different wineries in the Hood River area. A van will pick you up in town and take to three different wineries for tastings.
Eagle Creek Hiking
Get ready for some great views! Hike up to punchbowl falls for a 4 mile round trip, or go all the way to twister falls for a 12 mile round trip.
Timberline Lodge
Head up to Historic Timberline lodge lunch or dinner and amazing views. Timberline is also a ski resort and is open 12 months a year. 1 hour drive from Hood River.
Hood River Breweries
Spend an afternoon exploring the many breweries in town. Our favorite breweries in Hood River are Ferment Brewing, Double Mountain Brewery, and Full Sail Brewery. All three breweries have great food as well.
Syncline Trail Hiking
Check out Syncline trails for tons of hiking options on the Washington side of the Columbia. A paved path provides an easy hike just above the road. Or check out many of the steep paths heading up the mountain. This area is also great for mountain biking.
Hood River Penstock Flume Pipeline Trail
Only 5 minutes from Hood River, this trail will take you up the lower Hood River. The trail is around 3 miles round trip, and not difficult.
Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum
Check out one of the largest collections of still flying antique planes and still driving antique cars. Visitors on the second Saturday of every month (including June 10th) will get to see some of these planes and cars in action!
