Right by the venue! This park has a really nice trail along the water. On your way back, you may see Mt. Rainier in the distance!
A cute spot to relax on the lawn by the water - blankets and/or lawn chairs are worth bringing!
A nice 3 mile loop surrounding a lake
Nice trails through lots of greenery
A classy restaurant with a small menu, but always great for our date nights when we lived in the area! We recommend the beef tartare, a steak to share from Bateau's menu, and any of their cocktails! Lauren recommends the oysters!
They don't take reservations and have been getting increasingly popular, but if you can get in for a meal, it never disappoints! The pasta portion sizes are absolutely perfect, and are always delicious!
For the Indian food lovers out there -- this one never disappoints!
Pricey, but one of our favorite cocktail/whiskey bars when we lived in the area. Be sure to check out their "Innovations" page on their menu!
We both used to go here a lot more when we first moved to Seattle -- great cocktails all around!
Debatably the best ice cream in town. Molly Moon's may give it a run for it's money (especially the Yeti flavor at Molly Moon's). Molly Moon's is around the corner if you want to try both!
This is one of the closer hikes to Seattle. It's short, but it has some very steep parts if you're not used to hiking in the Pacific Northwest. If you're lucky though, you can see hang gliders jump off at the top, since it's next door to a hang gliding school! I'd avoid doing this at peak times -- during the weekday is best!
A more beginner-friendly hike compare to it's sibling, Mt. Si! But it still will give you a nice challenge throughout.
Itching for a good hike but don't want to do a crazy one? This is for you! It's on the shorter side and doesn't have the "top of the mountain" views but you're still given a great view of a waterfall at the end!
This is a hard hike, but it's one of the easier hard hikes for the best views! Bring plenty of snacks and water! I'd avoid doing this at peak hours because it's one of the most popular hikes in the area.
If you have a free day while you're here, a day trip to Leavenworth is worthwhile! You can do the Colchuck Lake trail hike, followed by a visit to the nearby German town in Downtown Leavenworth. Brats, beer, shops -- very cute! Make sure to buy the right parking pass if you go to Colchuck Lake!
This is a hard hike, but the views at the top of the rock scramble are among my favorite for nearby hikes, so it is still worth mentioning! Give yourself a full day's worth of time to do this one, and bring plenty of water and snacks!
There's plenty of rental places along Lake Union
They have normal bike rentals and four person bike rentals
