At the beginning of 2021, Lauren came across a Facebook Ad for a kickball league that said "LADIES PLAY FREE". Not knowing much about it but itching for something new to shake off the pandemic blues, she signed up. The league turned out to be more of a "meet up at the bar and make friends" type of league, with a side of kickball. When she went to the league bar for the first time, Sam was the third person she met. She couldn't stop laughing at his jokes and joining in on the fun with jello and fireball shots. After one season of kickball, Lauren joined Sam's team for the next season. They became official soon after that, on July 4th.
