Is there a room block at the Harbor Hotel? How do we book?

We recommend staying at the Harbor Hotel for your accommodations during the wedding weekend, as it's conveniently hosting our wedding reception and offers the perfect location for guests. You can easily book your room by visiting the hotel's website or calling directly and using the last name "Ballard" along with our wedding date of August 23, 2025, which will secure you a special discount on our wedding room block. We've arranged this special rate to make your stay both convenient and affordable, ensuring you'll be right in the heart of the celebration and close to all the wedding festivities.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we can only accommodate children of the wedding party and those in the ceremony. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
We recommend that you get to the church 20-30 minutes prior to the start time to ensure you have a good seat and can settle in before the ceremony begins.

Are you registered? Where?
Answer
Our wedding registry is conveniently linked on our Zola website, but we also warmly welcome contributions towards our house down payment and honeymoon fund. If you'd prefer to help us start our new life together in a more flexible way, monetary gifts are sincerely appreciated and will be treasured as we begin this exciting next chapter.

Due to venue capacity we can’t host any additional guests that didn’t receive formal invitations for a plus one.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We recommend staying on-site, although we understand this might not be possible for everyone. There are numerous AirBnBs and rental homes available for your stay. Watkins Glen offers many charming accommodations! If you prefer a chain hotel, we suggest the Best Western Plus - Hammondsport Hotel, which is approximately 30 minutes away.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
While there is no dedicated transportation provided to the Catholic wedding ceremony, the good news is that the ceremony location is less than a mile from the venue, making it easily walkable or a very short drive for guests. This proximity means you'll have no trouble getting to and from the ceremony, whether you choose to walk or drive yourself.
