As you know, the situation with COVID-19 is still unfolding on a daily basis. The health and safety of our loved ones is our top priority. Due to the current gathering restrictions, we have had to drastically cut back our guest list. We will still wed in a private ceremony on October 10th, but unfortunately have to postpone our big celebration with many of our guests to a later date. More details to come soon!! If you will be attending the private ceremony, please see the FAQ section for more information.
Ross and I met while we were both attending, the wild and wonderful, West Virginia University (Let's Go Mountaineers!). We had tons of mutual friend and crossed paths numerous times at parties throughout our four years at WVU. We decided to finally make it official our senior year when Ross asked me to be his girlfriend at a concert we were attending together!
I proposed to Lauren on a Saturday afternoon at the top of an overlook in Catoctin Mountain Park. I coordinated a very special day that took me months to figure out because I wanted to make sure it was perfect. I started the day pretending I was leaving to do some work and set an alarm clock to wake her up. From our apartment, I sent her off on a scavenger hunt to all of our favorite places. I enlisted my sister's Blaire and Erica to post up at each spot and give Lauren a love note, her next location, and a mimosa to help calm her nerves.... I decided not to respond to any texts she sent me that entire day which I know drove her insane. At the final destination, I was waiting for her with my family and her parents by my side. When I finally saw her coming, I felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest. I got down on one knee and asked the girl of my dreams to marry me, which she thankful said YES! Now, we can't wait to celebrate this next chapter in our love story with all of you!! See yinz in Pittsburgh!
