There was a complicated dual proposal situation that confused many of our friends and family. Rose first surprise proposed on their rooftop in June 2021 and Lauren then surprise proposed under Rose's favorite tree at Fort Greene Park two months later. In nontraditional order, we looked at venues, told our parents and friends, and picked out rings before being officially engaged. (Honestly, Rose always knew they were going to get married, whereas Lauren made a long list of pros and cons and after careful consideration realized that Rose was right.)
