Question

How should I get to and from the airport?

Answer

Taxis are abundant and a great option to get to and from the airport. There will be lines of taxis waiting outside and almost too many options when you land in Puerto Vallarta. Continue outside of the airport to reserve your taxi. If you are more comfortable with private transfer, there are lots of safe and affordable options. We recommend booking through your hotel concierge for private transfer if you wish to go that route. Expect a beautiful 30 minute drive from the airport into the Punta de Mita region.

Question

Do I need a passport and/or visa?

Answer

You DO need a passport if you are coming from the US, but you do NOT need a visa. Make sure your passport is not expiring within the six months ahead of the wedding. If expired, please note that passport agencies are quite delayed. We'd recommend getting this sorted soon to avoid any lass minute issues.

Question

What is the weather like in Punta de Mita in May?

Answer

May is a dry month for this area, with highs in the mid 80's, a low of 70 degrees and an ocean temperature of 80 degrees!

We have 2 points of contact for the day - Wedding Coordinator - Belen Chavez: +52 322 356 6702 - for any day of wedding info/needs Wedding Venue Concierge - Idaly Hernandez: +52 322 228 7419 - for any issues with security or gate access Friday or Saturday *download Whatsapp to your phone for free texting in Mexico

Question

Do I need a rental car for the weekend?

Answer

Our suggestion is no, but depends on length of stay and if you wish to do any travel to outside areas. If staying in Punta de Mita area only, a car is not needed as golf carts are abundant and the best mode of transportation. With other amazing towns being close by, a car may be a good option if you'd like to spend other days exploring. Sayulita ( a town about 30 minutes north) is a wonderful day adventure for those up to it!
