Early September in San Diego is usually pretty warm – last year on our elopement day it was 91 degrees. Most of the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, so dress accordingly.
We kindly ask that all guests RSVP by August 10.
Cocktail Attire - suits and cocktail dresses are appropriate.
The ceremony will be held in the amphitheater outside, with a reception (including dinner) to follow on the visitor center's patio next door.
There are parking spots for 90 cars in front of the venue, although we suggest taking a Lyft or taxi so you may safely enjoy the open bar.
Yes. Our venue requires that masks be worn indoors.
As of May 13, 2021, California recommends that travelers be tested for COVID-19 before and after traveling to the state. To attend the wedding, you will need to either have proof of full vaccination or have negative test results for COVID-19 due to venue restrictions. Guests who neither have proof of vaccination nor negative COVID-19 test results will not be allowed into the venue, per the venue restrictions.
If you have not been fully vaccinated before traveling for the wedding, San Diego County has a list of places where you can be tested for the virus available on its website at http://bit.ly/SDCountyTesting. If you need help determining where the most convenient site is for where you're staying, please reach out to us at laurenandpeterhefti [at] gmail [dot] com.
As was our priority when postponing our big, in-person celebration, keeping our loved ones safe is of the utmost importance to us. Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, and there will be hand sanitizer available throughout the venue. Both of us and many of our friends and family have already been vaccinated, and we hope the majority will also be fully vaccinated ahead of our wedding day. We will continue to pay attention to the up-to-date guidance regarding the ongoing pandemic, and will continue adjusting our plans accordingly.
Yes, we encourage guests to take photos before and after the ceremony and to post them on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #mappingoutourheftiadventure so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
Since our wedding is being held in a regional park, open flames are not allowed, including cigarettes.
