In January 2020, Lauren had just moved home after college and was waiting to go to her first Air Force duty station in Oklahoma, and Noah was studying for his masters degree at the University of Minnesota. They met in the most romantic way possible: swiping right on Tinder. Lauren picked the restaurant for their first date not realizing it was in a hotel (she swears!), so they actually first met in a Courtyard Marriott. Now they’re coming full circle by getting married in one! They ended up being long distance for almost 2 years after Noah moved to Houston, TX, and Lauren moved to Oklahoma in 2020 and then San Antonio, TX in 2021. Both of them moved for work, Noah works with NASA as an engineer and Lauren is a Logistics Readiness Officer in the Air Force, so they were lucky to end up in the same state. After many flights and long drives, they got an apartment together in April 2022 which they share with their fur babies, Winston (grey) and Gertrude (orange). The proposal ended up being an entire weekend trip that Noah *tried* to keep secret, but busy work schedules made that a little difficult so Lauren just pretended not to know. They took a trip to Canyon Lake, stayed at a beautiful little bed & breakfast, went on a picnic, and topped it off with some wine tasting. Noah proposed near the lake shore during sunset and it was a perfect weekend! We’re so excited to share our wedding day with all of you. See you in May!
