"Tourons" and local "Bozemanites" would say MAP Brewery is making some of the best suds in state. Winner of multiple Great American Beer Festival (GABF) Medals, this local hang comes equipped with sweeping views of the Bridger Mountain Range, great pub food, and that friendly Montana atmosphere.
One of our favorite breweries in Bozeman that have tasty craft beers, delicious food and relaxed Montana vibes. Get the beer brined wings, Caesar salad, or Lalo's favorite, Garden Greens Pizza.
Copper is where we celebrated our first night as a Big Sky Country couple. Great cocktails, and best steak frites in town.
Heads up Foodies, we got a James Beard Award winner! Shan is a little mountain tavern in Bozeman serving Thai and Chinese dishes with local meats, interesting wines, and craft beers. **reservations **small eatery
This is our watering hole. Established in 1937, Stacey’s Old Faithful Bar & Steakhouse is a casual western saloon and eatery that strives to maintain an authentic Montana experience, and the traditions that make this state great. At Stacey’s, you can be sure to find an honest pour, a hearty meal, country music and the love of the West — all served up in an environment where everyone feels welcomed.

The 'M' hike has two different trail options. One is shorter in distance to the top, but steeper and more challenging. The other is longer in distance and flatter in terrain, making it more of a leisurely walk. Drinking Horse trail is the perfect amount of distance and depth for a well-rounded hike. Both trailheads are located right across the street from each other, just outside of Downtown Bozeman. **Note: If you hike .50mi above the M Trail, you have sweeping panoramic views of the Bridger Range, Madison Range and Gallatin Range. **Difficult
Two of our favorite dog friendly parks. Bring your fur baby along or just take a stroll to enjoy some epic mountain views.
This is Nate's favorite place to run. Sourdough canyon is a very popular trail for joggers, mtn. bikers, hikers and Nordic skiers. Connecting to hundreds of miles of trail in the Gallatin Range, Sourdough canyon trailhead runs along Bozeman creek and ends 10 miles in at Mystic Lake. Pro Tip: Rent a mtn bike from Owen's Cycling in town and head out to Mystic Lake for a day trip.
Facility equipped with locker rooms and showers, a full gym, natural hot springs, cold plunge pools, dry sauna, wet sauna, and outside chlorinated hot springs pools. Grab a coffee or smoothy at the Cafe located right around the corner from the front desk.
Located just south of Bozeman past Hyalite Reservoir, Hyalite Creek Trail is a great place for a scenic hike or an active trail run. With waterfalls scattered throughout a glacial U-shaped canyon carved out of ancient volcanoes, this out-and-back trail starting from Grotto Falls Trailhead is well-maintained for hikers, bikers, and skiers of all abilities. The trail runs all the way up to Hyalite Lake, and Hyalite Peak is an extra two miles beyond for those interested in a longer journey. This trek is doable for most skill levels, and the beauty surrounding the trail is unmatched. Hikers look out for bikers, and vice versa. Carry bear spray. Grotto Falls A short offshoot from Hyalite Creek Trail will take you to the base of a nice waterfall cascading into a tranquil pool. This is a very easy, flat hike on a wide trail that is wheelchair-accessible. At 3/4-mile up the trail, take the right fork at an obvious sign. Continue another 3/4-mile to the falls.
If you're like us, we love road trippin'. Leaving Bozeman, head east on I-90 to Livingston: home to John Mayer, Jeff Bridges, 'A River Runs Through It' and some of the best 'Blue Ribbon' fly fishing the state has to offer. Continue on through Paradise Valley (where we celebrated our engagement)- a dramatic river valley nestled between the Absaroka and Gallatin mtn ranges. Visit Old Saloon (best dive in MT), Chico Hot Springs, and the town of Gardiner: home to the 8-mile wolf pack and the gateway to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
For those who are driving or wish to extend their visit beyond the wedding, Grand Teton National Park is a must see. Located just over 4 hours south of Bozeman, it is a perfect detour for travelers driving from California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Idaho. Go adventure and always take the roads less traveled.
