In true millennial fashion, we were both looking for love online. We matched on a popular dating site called Bumble based on our mutual values, interests, and stunning good looks. After exchanging a few messages and one phone call, we knew something special was happening. We met for dinner at Galliano's, a beautiful Italian restaurant on Saturday, March 20, 2021. From that night on, we were inseparable.

We were watching a scary movie called The Blackening on Sunday, December 17, 2023. If you know Milton, you know that he loves scary movies. If you know me, you know that I do not. I paused the movie for a quick break; I felt jumpy watching the twists and turns of the movie. When I opened the door to return to the room BAM! Milton was in the doorway on one knee! I almost jumped out of my skin. Luckily, my fight instinct did not kick in and I didn’t knock him out! Once I calmed down, Milton told me that he didn’t want to go into 2024 with me as just his girlfriend. He wanted to start the new year as an engaged couple and, very soon, a married one. I couldn't contain my joy. It was the easiest yes of my life. Now, the real fun begins!
