FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The last day to RSVP was June 15, 2026. The last day to book the hotel at our group rate was June 9th. RSVPs are now closed. You will be missed and we hope to see you soon at another event. If we did not hear from you, personally, before June 16th, 2026, we know you will not be joining. We will be giving the final headcount to the restaurant on June 29th, at that point there will not be a seat and there will not be a meal for you. Please do not change your RSVP by telling your plan to other family members. If you need to change your Yes to a No, please tell the Bride or Groom directly.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

There is a registry page on this website that has a list of ways you can contribute to our honeymoon. We are asking to please refrain from giving us physical gifts. We have been living together for years, our apartment is well-stocked. We appreciate you respecting our wishes and our space by not gifting us anything that is not on our registry.

Question

I found a gift the couple is going to love. Can I bring it?

Answer

We love that you are thinking of us and I'm sure the thing you found is perfect for us and we will love it, but please do not buy it for us. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment, we do not have the space or the need. It may only be one small thing, but you are not the only person thinking this. If you really want to give us something we will cherish forever, please us our registry and help use enjoy a memorable honeymoon.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be privately held for parents and siblings only. Please meet us at the wedding venue, Marco Polo Ristorante, at 6pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we ask that you come in formal attire. This is not a black-tie event, but we do want you to take this opportunity to dress as though you are having a fancy date night in NYC. This means midi to floor length dresses for women and suits and ties for men. I am linking an article on formal wedding dress codes here: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Guests have been added to the invitations, please only bring those who are listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your children, and we look forward to seeing them during your visit, but no one under the age of 21 will be permitted at the reception or after party. Children are welcome at the welcome party and farewell brunch. During the reception, we will be providing a babysitter at the hotel. This person will be a friend of ours who has children of their own. We assure you that they will be in good hands and much happier to be playing with the other children than to be stuck at a sit-down dinner.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

You can find the booking link and discount code for the Hilton on our hotel page. The room block has closed as of June 9th.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We have made sure there are food options for vegetarians and those who are gluten-free. If you have any other allergies, please let the servers know at the wedding.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a plethora of parking lots near the hotel, street parking is extremely hard to find in this area of Brooklyn, so please take advantage of a lot on or near Atlantic Avenue and Smith or Court Streets. Here are a few of the closest options to the hotel and venue: LAZ at Edison Park Fast 160 Livingston Street Centerpark Smith Street 75 Smith Street LAZ at Edison Park Fast 182 Schermerhorn St Cielo Garage @ Schermerhorn 189 Schermerhorn St If you are coming from NJ and spending the whole weekend, it may be cheaper and easier to take an Uber or Lyft into Brooklyn, you will not need your car once you are here.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be offering Uber vouchers. You just have to use our code and we will pay for your Ubers to and from the venue. The venue is 8 blocks from the hotel. If you would like to walk it, you can. It is a busy street and there is some construction narrowing the sidewalks in areas. In heels, its a hard 8 blocks.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please check out the "schedule" page for a list of events related to the wedding. As it gets closer we will also be adding possible activities for you to enjoy together during your time in the city. Those will be on the "things to do" page.

Question

Is Lauren changing her last name?

Answer

Not legally. Socially, you may use the last name Cubillos for me, but if you will be gifting us via check or anything else that requires legal names, please use Lauren Fitzpatrick and/or Miko Cubillos.
