Lauren and Michael first connected online, but officially met outside the hot yoga studio where Michael had been practicing yoga for the last 5 years. It wasn’t long before Lauren impressed Michael with her ability to do a full mermaid pose and her openness to try her first ever yoga class, and Michael won over Lauren with his red hair, super cool glow-in-the-dark ring, and caring disposition. Soon they were enjoying LED-lit bike rides on the Fox River, attending music festivals, adopting their dog, Lola, and planning trips to distant lands. Michael’s ability to find fun and create joyful memories and Lauren’s passion for growth and trying new things brought them on many adventures, until the day they took a hot air balloon ride over the Valley-of-the-Kings in Luxor, Egypt. There, amidst breathtaking views of ancient tombs and lush sugar cane fields with the glittering Nile sweeping out behind them, Michael popped the question, and Lauren said yes.
