Resort at Squaw Creek

Resort at Squaw Creek is the location of our wedding, and many of the activities leading up to the big day! Located in beautiful Squaw Valley, and home of the 1960's Winter Olympics, this resort has something for everyone! Guests can relax with a cocktail at one of several pools overlooking the beautiful valley, play a round of golf at the resort's privately owned golf course, enjoy a spa treatment, or participate in one of the many outdoor activities available to guests! The best part: it's only a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute free shuttle ride to Squaw Valley Village! ***THE ROOM BLOCK IS FULL, however there are still approximately 35 rooms available outside of the room block. The resort would not allow us to add additional rooms to the block since they were at 90% capacity. If you call and book an existing room outside of the block, you can mention the "Larsen/Suyderhoud" wedding and receive 10% off the standard daily rate for the weekend.

Squaw Valley is a vacation destination, so Airbnb and VRBO are great options for staying! Some guests may choose to rent a cabin with other couples, or choose a to stay in Squaw Valley Village, only a 5 minute shuttle ride from the Resort at Squaw Creek!

Flight

Reno-Tahoe International Airpot

Reno-Tahoe International Airport is located approximately 1 hour east of the Resort at Squaw Creek. The North Lake Tahoe Express is a shuttle service available for guests arriving at this airport who are opting out of renting a car. Reference the North Lake Tahoe Express website for scheduled route times.

North Lake Tahoe Express from Reno Airport

For those of you flying into Reno International Airport, the North Lake Tahoe Express shuttle offers several options between 12pm to 12am for service to the Resort at Squaw Creek. Make sure to book reservations in advance! Reference the North Lake Tahoe Express website for further details! ***Please note, you MUST make shuttle reservations in advance

Flight

Sacramento International Airport (SMF)

Sacramento is another option for flights into California. Without traffic, Sacramento is approximately 2 hours away from The Resort at Squaw Creek. There is no complimentary shuttle from SMF to the resort.

Resort at Squaw Creek Shuttle

The Resort at Squaw Creek has it's own Shuttle Service that provides pick ups and drop offs to and from the Resort at Squaw Creek to Squaw Valley Village (for guests staying in the village). This is free for anyone in Squaw Valley and you do not have to be staying at the resort. Shuttle service times are every thirty minutes at 00:15 and 00:45 on the hour. This is a great option for hotel guests who want to visit Squaw Valley Village (5 minute shuttle ride) or for those guests who are staying in Squaw Valley Village. Shuttle begins service at 7:15am and the final service is at 10:45pm.
