Perfect place for moderate hikes and walks right outside of town!
There are plenty of docks and beaches that you can swim, paddleboard, and explore while you are in town! Mile High Marina offers rentals of Paddleboards, Jet Skis, Boats, Kayaks, Pontoons, etc.
Looking for a more challenging hike up to an alpine lake to capture beautiful cutthroat trout (or just to go for a dip after a good workout?) This happens to be the place the we took our first backpacking trip to, where Lauren caught her first ever trout, and the place where Matt says he knew Lauren was the one! The hike is around 3 miles round trip with a good amount of elevation gain. The scenery at the lake is spectacular and the cutthroat trout fishing is world class (reach out to Matt for details)
One of our favorite breakfast spots in town, with delicious food and mimosas! We recommend making a reservation for this spot, it's very popular!
A nice brewery in town that has great food and drinks. They have an outdoor eating area as well as a deck area with a beautiful view over Payette Lake and Brundage Ski Resort.
Brundage is a great spot for mountain biking, hiking, and scenic chairlifts. They occasionally have other events as well!
About halfway between Boise and McCall lies Banks, a launching point for super fun whitewater rafting trips on the Payette River. You'll be driving along the Payette most of your way up to McCall, so even if you don't want to raft it while you're here you still get to witness its beauty
