We met when we were attending ground school training for Horizon Air. Kaelar was training to be an airline pilot and Lauren was in training to be a flight attendant. It was in the break room where our story begins. Lauren was in need of a fork for her lunch and Kaelar offered to help her find one. He made quite an impression on the table full of flight attendants, when coming to save the day with the found fork. A few days later he got the courage up to ask her out to dinner and the rest as they say his history.

On a weekend trip to Bend, Lauren and Kaelar decided to take a trip out to Crater Lake National Park. After some hiking and exploring all of gorgeous scenery, Kaelar decided it was the perfect time to take a photo of us at one of the empty view points. He propped up his phone on his backpack to take a photo, when he said my name and I turned around he was on one knee with my grandmother’s ring.
