We'll be heading to Travertine Hot Springs on Sunday as a group (see Schedule page for more details), but feel free to check it out on your own time as well! The Travertine Hot Springs, just outside of Bridgeport, are one of the most popular hot springs in the Eastern Sierra. There are a half dozen pools with varying temperatures, and the views of the valley below are hard to beat. Be prepared to share a tub on a weekend, and also note that if you are going with your family, people may bathe naked.
Bodie is a town frozen in time. Bodie became a California State Historic Park in 1962, and the buildings are maintained just as they were found when the State took over the town. The buildings are not restored, but are instead preserved in their aged and weathered 1880s appearance. 1 hour driving distance from the venue, but well worth the trip.
Yosemite National Park is one of our favorite places in the world. For anyone who has never been to the park or is visiting from out of state, we highly recommend extending your stay to include a trip to Yosemite! Yosemite Valley is the most famous area of the park, and it's where you can see El Capitan, Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. We also highly recommend visiting Tuolumne Meadows, which is a higher elevation, lesser known but equally beautiful area of the park (also less crowded!) Accommodations book out many months in advance and logistics can be complex, so plan ahead. We would be happy to give detailed advice on how to plan a smooth visit to Yosemite. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We're veterans and know all the ins and outs. Yosemite Valley is 3 hours driving distance from Bridgeport. Tuolumne Meadows is 1.5 hours driving distance from Bridgeport.
An incredible desert hot springs resort with private campsites and an inn. You get your own private spring-fed hot tub! A great option if you'd like to extend your trip and explore other areas in the Eastern Sierra. 1.5 hours driving distance from Bridgeport.
