A Beach Day!
Jones Beach and Lido Beach will be just a twenty minute drive from the Garden City area. Pay per car, BYO chairs, towels, and SPF for a fresh glow before the big night! Recommended to arrive early for best parking. Visit Long Beach to stroll the 2.2mi boardwalk. There are bicycles to rent, cafes, and seaside restaurants right on the walk. In addition... "Lido Beach has bocce and shuffleboard, basketball and volleyball courts, handball courts and kiddie spray pools. Carts are available for beach goers to tote their coolers and chairs down to the sandy beach shores."
A Day in the Park
Enjoy a day of grassy activities in the sunshine, five minutes by car from the Garden City area - "930 acres of open space and recreation, Eisenhower Park is one of the largest public spaces in the New York metropolitan area – larger, in fact, than Central Park. Visit the Americana Mall for a day outdoors at high-end luxury shops. Hopefully it will be a beautiful sunny day, but if you're looking for indoor activities a visit to Roosevelt Field Mall never disappoints.

Take a stroll through the village of Garden City without the drive to explore small shops and great eats during the day - or drive through to see beautiful houses and architecture of old Long Island.
