For tasting-room hopping in downtown Carmel, we recommend this comprehensive guide. If visiting a winery is more your jam, we recommend Folktale, in Carmel Valley (also has great food!).
World Class Golf
If you're a golfer, one of many bucket list destinations is Pebble Beach, CA. Guests of Pebble Beach Resorts can book tee times at Pebble Beach Golf Links or Spyglass Hill Golf Course in advance. Guests staying elsewhere may be able to book tee times there the week of the wedding, but will also be able to reserve times at the Links at Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills Golf Course, Del Monte Golf Course, Bayonet and Black Horse, Quail Lodge, Pacific Grove Golf Links (also known as "Poor man's Pebble") and other courses in the area. For a quick knock-around with a group, the short course at Pebble Beach, The Hay, is a fun 9-hole par 3 course with an accompanying putting course. Grab a wedge or two and some drinks and give it a go.
Big Sur & Lunch at Napenthe
The gem of the California Coast, Big Sur is where the magic all started for us! The lack of cell phone service, laid-back vibe, and breathtaking vistas make it our favorite escape. Be sure to stop for fantastic photo opportunities along the Big Sur Coastline, Bixby Creek Bridge, McWay Falls, and wander in the redwood forest of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Walk the beach and see shades of purple sand at Pfeiffer Beach. Take in the views on the deck at Nepenthe. Dine at Post Ranch Inn or sleep under the stars in Limekiln State Park.
