Question

Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and reception will take place at La Playa. If your're up for it and want to keep the party going, join us at Barmel for an after party! We are so excited to share our special day with you with spectacular views of the ocean.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

Answer

We love your kids, but we've chosen not to invite them to our wedding. If you bring them to Carmel, there are local babysitting services we can suggest if needed. Please email JohnAndLauren2024@Gmail.com for a list of recommended sitters.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE?

Answer

There is a small, first-come first-serve parking lot at the hotel. There is also ample nearby street parking.

IS TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation to the venue. Fortunately, Carmel-by-the-Sea is a very walkable town. If you stay at any of the recommended hotels, you should have no problem getting to the venue!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We'll only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation, which will be sent in the following months.

What is the weather like in Carmel?

Answer

In July, temperatures range from about 50 to 65 degrees and up to 70 in Carmel Valley. Bringing layers is recommended. People often say it's a bit colder than they thought it would be.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You'll be missed! If you can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie preferred, long dresses and tuxedos are encouraged. Colors are encouraged, and we ask that ladies avoid white. Being a coastal wedding, be aware of a possible ocean-breeze or chill.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

If you already know whether or not you can make it, please feel free to let us know as soon as possible. The final RSVP deadline will be indicated once the formal invites are sent.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the outside courtyard, weather permitting. Cocktail hour will be outside/inside on the terrace, followed by dinner and dancing indoors. The terrace will be accessible throughout the night for photos, breathers, mingling, etc!
