Kelsey and Lauren’s friendship goes back to their elementary school days where they bonded over their love for Beanie Babies and Legos. Their friendship continued to grow over the years and they have too many memories and adventures to count. Kelsey has a heart of gold, an infectious laugh, and is amazingly talented. Even though they don’t get to see each other super often because of living in different states, each time they do they pick up right where they left off-usually with giggling ☺.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Just as Obi-Wan Kenobi was a mentor to Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars Trilogy, Jeff has been a mentor to Hank throughout his life. As the older brother, Jeff was very influential in Hank’s childhood. Whatever Jeff was doing, Hank wasn’t far behind, whether it was watching Star Trek, playing Mario, or toilet papering their sister, Alison’s, house (It ended up being the wrong house). Growing up, Jeff was Hank’s best friend. Hank is planning on repaying Jeff's kindness toward him by teaching his nephew and niece everything that good uncles are suppose to teach. ;)
Karen Zubricki

Nicknamed the odd couple in PA school, Lauren and Karen’s friendship began with a random roommate agreement via Facebook. They were quite different in personality and study styles ☺ but became fast friends and study buddies all throughout school and beyond. Karen was also very instrumental in Lauren's faith and God certainly knew what he was doing when he paired them as roommates. Karen is a very, very dear friend and her family is like Lauren’s second family here in Virginia.
Peter Lehman

Number One: Just as Commander William Riker was a close friend to Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise, Peter has been a very close friend to Hank since the very first day of college. Peter was always hardworking and Hank looked up to him and tried not to get him too off task. Over the many years of their friendship, he has always been there to give Hank good advance. Their love of history brought them together numerous times on tours of old battlefields. Though Peter currently lives Kansas, their friendship has only grown as they always work hard to make sure they stay in touch.
Kelley Bowman

Kelley and Lauren have been shooting hoops and kicking soccer balls together throughout Ohio since 2003 (and they probably still have the tournament t-shirts to prove it!). Always together during sporting events, Kelley and Lauren have stayed just as close as they transitioned into adulthood. Although their activities look a bit different when they are together now, they still enjoy laughing and spending time together via FaceTime or occasionally in person.
Isaac Shelly

James Bond: Just as James Bond was always there to saved the world countless times in the James Bond franchise, so too has Isaac always been there for Hank. Isaac and Hank have been close friends since meeting in college. Having so many similar interest, it was hard to keep them apart. They got to know each other more as they traveled all over China together. After graduating from college, Isaac was there again for Hank as he opened his home and let Hank move in. Though they do not live in close proximity anymore, they always seem to be able to catch up from right where they left off.
Ashley Yassall

Ashley is one of the friendliest, sweetest, and most generous people you’ll ever meet. Wherever she goes, she makes a friend. So naturally Lauren is incredibly blessed to have her as a friend! Their friendship started with mutual friends in high school and grew over the years. They really got to know each other when they shared a room for 5 weeks during one of Lauren’s PA rotations in Cleveland. Ashley knows all things Cleveland. So If you are looking for any recommendations, Ashley is your girl!
Evan Pergrim

Gandalf the White: Just as Gandalf the White was a friend and counselor to the fellowship in the Lord of the Rings, so was Evan to Hank. Evan and Hank meet while attending the same bible study in the summer of 2015. Over the following months their friendship grew and the two would soon be living together as roommates. Together they enjoy running, ruling the world, unintentionally dining and dashing (we drove back to pay), and traveling coast to coast on long car rides. Evan has been a mentor to Hank over the years of their friendship, all-the-while supporting his development of faith.
Jessica Givens

Jessica is Lauren’s current roommate and witness to the wedding planning process. They met at church two years ago and have been going on jogs, adventures, and attending Bible studies ever since. Jessica always fills the house with delicious smelling candles and lots of laughter. Jessica’s love for the Lord is evident in all that she does and she has been such an encouragement to Lauren.
Chris Carter

Star-Lord: Just as Star Lord balanced humor and friendship in the Guardian of the Galaxy movies, so has Chris during his friendship with Hank. No one knows exactly how Chris and Hank became friends. One day it just happened. And it took off fast. From the start, the two had many similarities including running races, playing late night frisbee, and spending hours just laughing at the gifs they send to each other (as evident on Lauren’s Facebook page). Chris has been a great source of wisdom in the development of Hank’s faith.
