Getting to Roche Harbor Resort

Roche Harbor Resort is located on San Juan Island. To get to the island, you'll take the ferry leaving from Anacortes arriving in Friday Harbor (approx $75 per car RT or $15 to walk-on). Anacortes is 100 miles north of Seatac via I-5, this can take 2+ hrs depending on traffic. Please plan to arrive at least 1 hr prior to ferry departure time. The ferry time must be reserved in advance, we recommend booking as soon as you know your travel plans. How to get around San Juan Island without a car

If you won't have a car on San Juan Island there are many options to get around the island (including from the ferry terminal in Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor resort): 1) Local taxi cabs services (sorry, no Lyft or Uber here!) - Friday Harbor Taxi (Call or text at 360-298-4434) - San Juan Taxi ( Call (360) 378-TAXI) 2) Friday Harbor Jolly Trolley - Departs Friday Harbor every hour, does a loop of the island, $15 for an all day pass to hop on and off the trolley as many times as you like, this is a great way to explore the island and get from Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor when you arrive! AIRPORT SHUTTLES: Bellair Shuttle or Island Airporter

There are two shuttle services that make the drive from Seatac Airport to Anacortes: 1) Bellair Shuttle offers multiple runs every day, with pick-up/drop-off in Sea-Tac or downtown Seattle to the Anacortes ferry terminal (adults $82 RT, $43 one way, discount for children or seniors). With this option, you are dropped off at the Anacortes ferry to walk-on to the ferry to Friday Harbor. Walk on tickets are approximately $15 per person. - www.airporter.com 2) Island Airporter operates only Mon-Fri, and has guaranteed boarding on the ferry that takes you directly to Roche Harbor. The non-stop service departs Sea-Tac at 12pm, and arrives in Roche Harbor at 4pm directly in front of the Hotel de Haro. Choose this option only if your scheduled arrival time is prior to 11am - this shuttle will leave Seatac promptly at noon. With this option, the shuttle drives on to the ferry and no additional ferry ticket is needed ($66 per person from Seatac directly to Roche). - www.islandairporter.com

Clipper Ferry (Seattle to Friday Harbor)

From April 26 - May 15 this passenger-only ferry (no driving on with car) departs once daily from downtown Seattle on Friday, Saturday & Sundays only. Departs Seattle at 8:15AM, arriving directly at Friday Harbor on San Juan Island at 12:00PM. Cost is $55 one way for adults, $25 for children 1-11 years old. There is an option to add on a whale watching experience as well. Ferry departs Friday Harbor once daily at 5:15pm arriving in downtown Seattle at 8:00PM. *This would be a good option for those arriving in Seattle Thursday, staying in Seattle Thursday night, traveling out to San Juan Island Friday- Sunday, flying out from Seatac on Monday.

SEAPLANE : Kenmore Air

For the adventurous, Kenmore Air offers flights (via floatplane) from South Lake Union in Seattle directly to Roche Harbor Resort. Flights are approximately $200 one way for this one hour direct flight. San Juan Airlines offers daily scheduled service to Roche Harbor Airport and Friday Harbor from Bellingham and Anacortes. There are also charter options into Roche Harbor and/or Friday Harbor. Other companies that offer charter-only flights in and out of Roche Harbor: Island Air and Westwind Aviation.
