On New Years Eve 2014, Evan and Lauren were attending separate parties in a downtown Seattle apartment building. At midnight, everyone poured on to the rooftop to watch the fireworks. Amidst the revelry, they found each other and quickly struck up a conversation. Finding common ground in live music, food, and the outdoors, what followed was 4 years of camping, hiking, dance parties, road trips, one large adventurous dog, and many delicious shared meals. Looking back, he'll admit she had him the moment she asked..."do you have a cast iron I can cook these collard greens in?"
On the banks of the Eagle River, in the same spot Lauren caught her first fish on a fly rod two summers earlier, Evan asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. The Eves family was waiting back at the bonfire to celebrate and welcome her into the family. We're so excited to continue the celebration with you all in the San Juan Islands this May!
