Parents of the Bride
David and Terri met at a sports bar on a rare and special snowy night in Natchitoches, Louisiana. However sudden the spark was that night, Terri told David that she would be in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Foolishly and a tad overconfident, David told her that he would find her in the crowds of Mardi Gras. As fate would have it, he did just that! 41 wonderful years later, they find themselves as much in love now as the day they met. If anyone knows Dave and Poohbear, then they know they love to travel. Whether it be across the world trekking the streets of Scotland, or the numerous RV adventures across the country, or the scuba diving adventure of the Florida Keys, they live life on the edge and never miss a chance to celebrate life and the wonders of the world. It is with great pride that David and Terri welcome you to partake in the joyous occasion of Lauren and Dillon’s wedding celebration.
Parents of the Groom
Judi and Rick first met while working together in the postal service. Rick approached Judi to help her with a large mail bag she was carrying. She thought it was a wonderful gesture, and was immediately drawn to his kind eyes. From that moment on and 44 years later, their love has not only stood the test of time, but made two strong and independent children of whom they love very much. As a child, Dillon loved spending time with his parents. With is dad, he loved to watch wrestling, work out at the gym, and explore Disneyland. Dillon’s favorite memory with his dad is when they went to Wrestlemania 25. With his mom, Dillon loves to play games together (currently Fall Guys and Catan), people watching at Disneyland, and simply going on walks. His favorite memory with his mom is when she surprised with entry reservations into Club 33 at Disneyland. Together, Rick and Judi love traveling the world on different cruise ships. They also love watching great movies and shows. In fact, they are the reason Dillon and and Krystle are so well learned in film and classical music: due to their influence and Rick’s musical talents in trumpet. Rick and Judi welcome all of you to the exciting celebration of the joining of Dillon and Lauren in holy matrimony
Matron of Honor
“Sara is my matron of honor and is my sister from another mister. Our friendship began by chance when we were paired as roommates in medical school. Together, we navigated countless sleepless nights, stressful exams, rotations, moments of self-doubt, and even thoughts of giving up. But ultimately we supported each other and emerged as stronger women, and finally as doctors.” One of Lauren’s favorite memories with Sara is their trip to Thailand. Between night markets, high rise views of Bangkok, and bathing elephants at a sanctuary in Phuket, it was a vacation they’ll always cherish. When she’s not supporting Lauren, Sara is an incredible mom to her two children, Aiden and Aleya. She loves traveling, watching scary documentaries, and, above all, being a constant source of strength and support for her family and friends.
Maid of Honor
”Karen is my maid of honor and one of my closest friends. We met during residency orientation, when a spontaneous suggestion to do an escape room together turned into the start of a lasting friendship. From that point on we would see each other nearly every day whether it was cooking giant meals for our group, ruthless board game nights, or being each other’s shoulder to cry on, we have been by each other’s side through it all.” One of Lauren’s favorite memories with Karen is their road trip through England and Ireland. With the Noah Kahan/Taylor Swift blasting, the breathtaking scenery, and navigating left-sided driving, it was an unforgettable and life-changing adventure for them both. When she’s not supporting Lauren, Karen is lifting up everyone around her. She brings light into the lives of so many, including her brothers, niece, and the chosen family she’s built everywhere she’s lived. She enjoys traveling, cooking (even though she insists she’s not great at it), reading, and discovering new music.
Matron of Honor
“Amber is my matron of honor and my high school best friend. I was wandering the corridors of a new school and when Amber invited me to hang out with all of her friends, the rest was history. We were inseparable from that point on and even when time kept us apart, when we are together again it is like nothing has changed.” Lauren’s favorite memories of Amber is all of the summer days they spent together. Whether it was by the pool, mud ridin’ in the country, crabbin’ in the early morning hours, or dressing up in Buckle clothes, life was easy because they had each other and never felt alone. When Amber isn’t supporting Lauren, she is an amazing mom to her two teenagers Noah and Kinsley. She is also a newly graduated registered nurse who put herself through school all while running a household. Her favorite things include makeup, arts and crafts, Disney trips with the family and cruising.
Best Man
"My best friend, my brother. Tommy and I’s friendship started back in Kindergarten when we played baseball together on the LA Dodgers. From that moment on, our families connected just as naturally as we did — his mom became close with my mom, and I always considered her my second mama. I was at their house almost every week, hanging out, playing video games, and convincing our moms to buy us games like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Revolver, even though they were rated M for Mature.” Tom and Dillon went on countless adventures growing up — hikes, bike rides, runs, or just sitting by his firepit roasting marshmallows. No matter what they were doing, every day felt like something special. Their friendship has truly stood the test of time.
Bridesmaid
“Maria is my bridesmaid and one of my good friends from residency. We met in the call room of the resident’s hall. Although a year below me, the opportunity for us to become close came with Matthew, another one of my close friends, expressed interest in Maria and I was ecstatic at him finally recognizing their obvious chemistry! four years, a trip across the world and a new perfect baby boy later, I am So thankful to have her as a part of my life.” When Maria isn’t supporting Lauren, she is a brand new amazing mom to her new baby, Johnathan. Lauren’s favorite memory with Maria is going on a house boat in the etherial waterways of Kerala, India. It was the day after her wedding and taking a beautiful ride down to a church built in the year 436 was the most unforgettable trip imaginable and she made that possible. Maria’s favorite hobbies are watching Bollywood movies, expanding her amazing fashion collection, and spending time with family whenever possible.
Bridesmaid
“Krystle is a bridesmaid and is Dillon’s amazing sister. Dillon finally had us meet at Cidercade a few months into dating and I was pretty nervous. I had heard how cool his sister was from Dillon and wanted to make a good first impression. Luckily for me, Krystle made our first meeting so easy because she was just as good at beating Dillon at video games like I was! It was an unforgettable first day and I look forward to the many more to come.” When Krystle isn’t supporting Lauren, she is a very accomplished film producer, creator, board president of Women of Film and Media Pittsburgh. She is also an amazing dog mom to her perfect pup, Dingle. Lauren’s favorite memory of Krystle is Frightmare Convention where they got to meet Krampus and The Terrifier. Her hobbies are spending time with Dingle and her friends, going to concerts, expanding her fashion closet, and playing guitar.
Groomsman
“My BUDDY! — my running partner, wrestling fanatic, and podcast cohost. Sam and I have known each other since meeting on the West Valley High School Cross Country Team. We bonded instantly over our love for the glory days of WWE, always sitting together on the bus rides to our next Cross Country or Track meet.” By the last few years of high school, they were inseparable. Sam was always down to run wild races with Dillon — Disney Half Marathon, Mountains around our house, and even the time we ran the entire Domenigoni Parkway from Dillon’s house to Sam’s, about 13 miles across Hemet, CA to Menifee, CA. Sam’s passion for everything he loves — wrestling, TV, movies, all of it — is what drew Dillon to him. And even with him living overseas in Hong Kong now, they’ve stayed close since 2009 and still make time to talk.
Groomsman
"A man who’s smart and has a heart of gold — Vince and I’s friendship came later, even though we first met when I hired into Southwest Airlines in 2015. We really connected around 2019–2020. We jokingly call each other “Stupid” out of love, and Vince has always been the one who can calm me down when I’m frustrated or upset. He’s the person who can talk me through anything and help me figure out how to approach tough situations.” Vince is the kind of friend who makes time for everyone, no matter what. Vince is someone who will always go the extra mile for his friends. Dillon is so grateful they’ve been close since this long and more to come.
Groomsman
“Rico has always been a mentor to me — or in our nerdy terms, the Jedi Master to my padawan. I met him when I first joined Southwest Airlines in 2015 to start my aviation career. He was the one who showed me the ropes around the office, and from there we built an amazing friendship through our talks about movies, shows, and life.” Rico has always been someone Dillon could lean on during difficult times. He helps him see both sides, think logically, and approach situations with a clearer head. With their shared, slightly insane sense of humor, Dillon and Rico have had countless great conversations — usually over a glass of Jameson on the rocks.
Groomsman
“AJ met me at my most hyper highschool self. He sat directly in front of me in biology class — quiet, introverted, minding his business — while I was basically a ball of energy. I “pestered” him until he finally opened up, and once we realized we were both deep into Xbox 360 Live back in 2008–2009, it was over from there. We spent countless nights staying up past midnight playing Halo 3, Gears of War, and every other classic we could get our hands on.” Dillon and AJ also ran track together, competing in the 800m and the mile, which only made them even closer. AJ became one of his closest friends in high school, and that bond started from a simple classroom seat and turned into years of memories.
Groomsman
“One of the kindest and funniest guys I know, I was lucky to meet Tyler Fox when I was very young growing up in Pennsylvania. We went to the same school and lived just down the street from each other in the same neighborhood of Treesdale. Our positive energy and outgoing personalities made it easy for us to connect.” Tyler introduced Dillon to some amazing games — Star Wars Epic Duels, Bloody Roar, and of course their shared love for WWE professional wrestling. Those early memories are a huge part of why their friendship has always meant so much to Dillon. Tyler is one of the most loyal friends, someone who always answers the call, who always makes time for others, and is someone anyone could gravitate towards.
Groomsman
“My soon to be brotherinlaw. I finally got to meet Lauren’s brother early into us dating but after I had met her parents. Tristan and I met when I was invited to his birthday celebration in Uvalde, TX — riding a tank and shooting weapons. We all went out to dinner at BJ’s before the experience and the moment Tristan and I started talking about games, I knew he was going to be the coolest brother I could ask for, and I saw the gleam on Lauren’s Mom’s eyes how easily we could connect together.” Getting to hear and see his incredible talent in voice acting only made Dillon more excited to have him as family. Tristan is a gentle giant with a heart of gold, and he’s family — plain and simple.
