Charlotte Douglas International Airport / Asheville Regional Airport
For out-of-state guests, you can either fly into Charlotte Douglas or Asheville Regional, both airports are about a 3 hour drive from Lansing so your crew will need to rent a car which is why we definitely recommend making arrangements with other friends and family that are coming from the same place to save you some dough! Vermonters, Coloradans, Icelanders, Washingtonians, Texans, New Yorkers, we're lookin at you! ;) You can usually find cheaper flights flying into Charlotte Douglas, but the drive from the Asheville airport is much, much prettier (up through the Linville Gorge in the Blue Ridge vs. the stretch of highways coming from CLT,) but either option you choose, we will be waiting for you with open arms!! There are options for car rentals at both airports.

AirBnBs and VRBOs in Lansing
For accommodations, AirBnBs or VRBOs in Lansing are going to be the best option! Walter who owns the venue assured that there are many rental accommodations in the area, but if you find yourself in a pinch, there are definitely more rentals in West Jefferson about a 30-minute drive away. Warrensville is only about 10 minutes away from the venue but will have less options. There is also the Holiday Inn Express in West Jefferson and other lodging options that are really nice if AirBnBs aren't your thing. I definitely recommend booking your stays as early as possible because they book out quickly in the summer!

This hotel is about a 28-minute drive away, but most likely the closest large hotel to the venue if you are not interested in booking an AirBnB around Lansing. West Jefferson is a quaint, adorable, fun little mountain town, and this is the town where we will be holding our welcome party on Friday night.

River House Inn in Grassy Creek has great reviews and is located about 30 minutes from the venue if you want the down-home, southern comfort of a Bed and Breakfast!

The Cabins at Healing Springs
Crumpler is a little more out in the Boonies, but the cabins at Healing Springs are great for those who don't need a fancy place to stay and want to enjoy being out in nature. Could be great for a large group that is going to carpool together the night of the wedding. About 30 minutes from the venue.

Lansing Creeper Trail Park
For the real down and dirty of y'all (cough cough Peace Corps peeps), there is a public park only 10 minutes from the venue that welcomes tent camping by the river and has a camping restroom at the site. If you're interested in reserving one of the camping spots, you can call Lansing Town Hall and get yourself set. (336)384-3938. Just make sure to shower before you come to the wedding! Lol
