What should I wear for each day?

Answer

The most important thing for us is that you feel comfortable. Many of the events will take place outside, you are welcome to pack high heels, but please note that there are cobblestones at the venue and wooden floorboards on the terrace. To assist with packing for each event, you will find our color pallet and outfit inspiration (absolutely not required to dress within the color scheme) at the top of this page and further details below: Welcome Party: Garden party cocktail attire. Should you wish to wear Lederhosen or Dirndls, we encourage this for the welcome party. If you do not have Lederhosen or Dirndls, normal cocktail attire is perfectly wonderful! Wedding Day: Formal / black tie optional. We encourage the ladies to wear floor length summer dresses, and the men to wear tuxedos or suits. Send-off Dinner: Summer casual. We encourage the ladies to wear light summer dresses, and the men to wear dress pants or khakis with a collared shirt (short sleeves is perfectly acceptable).

Can I wear Lederhosen or Dirndls?

Answer

Yes! If you would like to, for the welcome party on the first night we encourage Lederhosen for the Men and Dirndls for the Women. If you do not have Lederhosen or Dirndls that is completely okay, we would then recommend cocktail attire / floral dresses for the welcome party. Question

Do I need European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) to travel for your wedding?

Answer

The ETIAS is projected to launch in Q4 2026 (October). As of the latest reports, it will not be required to travel in September 2026, and will not impact our American guests. For more information please see the ETIAS section of our Travel page on our website.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend the Caro & Selig hotel (a Marriott partner) as this is where the shuttle will pick up and drop off at. You can find details and other hotel recommendations on the Travel page of our website.

Where is the best place to park and how can we best reach the venue from the town?

Answer

The Leeberghof is located on a hill above the town of Tegernsee. If you drive south out of town, you will find a signpost on the left-hand side that leads to the hotel. After about two to three minutes, you will reach the access road to the hotel, where there are several parking spaces on the right and left. However, if you are travelling with your own hire car and not using the shuttle service, we would recommend that you carpool, as parking spaces at the top are limited.

How can we get from Munich Airport to lake Tegernsee by rental car?

Answer

If you prefer the flexibility of driving, renting a car at Munich Airport (MUC) is easy. All major car rental companies — including Sixt, Hertz, Europcar, and Enterprise — have counters in the Mietwagenzentrum (Car Rental Center), located just a few minutes from the terminals. Once you’ve picked up your vehicle, follow the A8 motorway towards Munich and then take the B318/B307 towards Tegernsee. The scenic drive takes approximately 1 hour 15–45 minutes, depending on traffic. Parking is available near most hotels and at the lakeside, making it a convenient option for exploring the area at your own pace.

Is the ceremony and the reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes, everything on the Wedding Day will take place at the Leeberghof.

Question

Will the celebration take place outdoors? Should we bring something warm in the evening?

Answer

The Welcome and Send Off Dinner as well as the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. The seated dinner will be served inside. The first part of the party is outside, later that evening we move inside. We would recommend to bring a jacket or a scarf to wrap around.
