Emma and Lauren are work besties turned real life besties! They met at a tech start-up in Austin and grew into professionals together, cheering each other on every step of the way. Now, even though they don't work together anymore, they are still meeting up for happy hours every chance they get and belting out broadway show tunes in the car together (Hamilton fans rise up!) Lauren's favorite memory with Emma: our 72 hour trip to Iceland and exploring the Icelandic countryside while being extraordinarily jet-lagged the entire trip.
Oscar Paz
Best Man
The brother of the groom, Oscar laid out a path for Brandon to follow until he was able and confident to carve out his own. If it weren’t for him attending and graduating St. Edward’s, there is almost no chance Lauren and Brandon ever cross paths. Favorite Memory: The summers spent at our grandma’s when we were kids. Even though the apartment she called home wasn’t the biggest, it was all we needed to once we let our imaginations run wild. Playing, fighting, eating – all of those moments taught me what love is at its core.
Angelika Lucero
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Angelika met their Junior year at St. Edward's University and became fast friends due to an absolutely horrendous professor they had for Business Finance. They graduated together during the pandemic, and just happened to be grouped into the same 10 person group for the "socially distanced" ceremony the University hosted, and they've been side by side ever since. Now, they've grown into their careers and figured life out (somewhat) together. Lauren's favorite memory with Angelika: honky-tonking in Nashville in 2023!
Michael Pacheco
Groomsman
The one who gave Brandon a home, Michael was the first true friend Brandon made in Austin back in 2015. If it weren’t for Michael extending his arm out to Brandon at his loneliest, he probably would have decided to move back to Houston by the end of his first semester at St. Edward’s. Favorite Memory: Michael was driving a few of us to a retreat when “I Just Wanna Party” by YG came up on his playlist. Music is beyond important to me, so that IMMEDIATELY established a connection that is almost a decade strong.
Olivia Ucci
Bridesmaid
Olivia and Lauren met during their freshman year at St. Edward's University while both living in Dujarie Hall. Navigating college life and early adulthood would have been impossible for Lauren without Olivia, and all of Lauren's best memories from freshman year start with her. Lauren's favorite memory with Olivia: Getting barricade for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at ACL 2017 after camping out in the sun for 8 hours.
Chris Perez
Groomsman
The familiar feeling away from home, Chris and Brandon built a friendship rooted in vibes. Austin/St. Edward’s wasn’t immediately the easiest place for them to find their “people” – but they found each other and figured it out along the way. Favorite Memory: The entirety of Summer 2016. Four 18–19-year-old bros lived in a 2-bed apartment – it was so ridiculous when I look back – but there were some long nights the two of us spent laughing and crying at that apartment. I wouldn’t change it if I could, and I’ll cherish those moments forever.
