Activities in Black Butte
There is plenty of family-friendly entertainment located just minutes from our wedding venue! Black Butte Ranch is a vacation community that offers horseback riding at Black Butte Stables, a miniature golf course, paved biking/walking trails, and a family outdoor recreation area. You can also stop by the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center (GMRC) for a fun pool day!
Golf at Black Butte Ranch
Join Arek on Friday morning for a round of golf before the big day! We will be reserving several tee times on the Black Butte Ranch Glaze Meadow course for anyone who is interested in playing 18 holes. Tee times will start at 9:00 am. The venue also offers a discounted rate for these group tee times- the round will cost $84, which will include a golf cart and range balls! It is preferred that players bring their own golf clubs, however, clubs are also available to rent onsite if needed. Because tee times will be reserved based on guests' interest level, we kindly ask that you commit to reserving a spot in the RSVP tab under 'Welcome Party'. Hope to see you on the course!
Hiking in Centeral Oregon
Explore the great outdoors in beautiful centeral Oregon! There are so many amazing hikes in the area that it's hard to pick just one. A few of our favorites are: Tumalo Falls, Smith Rock State Park, Behnam Falls, Paulina Peak, and Pilot Butte. Have fun!
Bend's Old Mill District
The Old Mill District in Bend is a historic shopping district with plenty of entertainment- both indoors and outdoors. Float the Deschutes River, grab a bite to eat, sample some craft beer and wine, take a stroll along the water, and visit the shops!
Breweries in Bend
Bend, Oregon is well-known for its craft beers. Head out for a tasting at a few of our favorite spots, or explore other breweries in the area! Our recommendations are 10 Barrel Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, Deschutes Brewery, and Atlas Cider Company. There is something for everyone!
Sunriver
Located about 30 minutes from Black Butte, Sunriver is a family-friendly community with plenty of activities for everyone. Pack your clubs and play a round of golf or visit the Sunriver Marina to rent a boat and float the Descutes River! The nearby Sunriver stables offer horseback rides, the SHARC features several pools and water slides, and the Sunriver Village is filled with shops and restaurants (be sure to stop by Goody's for a sweet treat!).
