We met in rehearsals for the national tour of Guys and Dolls: Lauren, ready to be a leader in rehearsals in her best Lululemon, while Dru, in his ombré skinny jeans and high top sneakers, seemed too cool for school. We quickly realized how much we had in common, from our families and friends, to our values and senses of humor, but it was our shared love of music that sparked the beginning of what we think is a relationship that's going very well so far.

On a Tuesday in October, we drove up to Harvest Moon Farm for our favorite autumn festivities. After an hour of apple picking with his jacket tied around his waist (to hide the ring box hidden in his pocket), Dru asked Lauren if she'd like to enjoy a moment under an apple tree at the top of a mountain overlooking the countryside. The moment Lauren was seated, Dru was down on one knee. Lauren did a double take, exclaimed "yes!", and immediately made Dru do it again. Who says you only propose to the same person once?
