Great Gatsby! This is a formal attire event. Halloween is a special time, especially in New Orleans. Instead of just any costume, we want to celebrate the history and past, the roaring 20s. There was a time where everything was grand, & people always dressed to impress. We want to keep the haunted history theme, ghosts that are all around us in the city can celebrate too! Girls with flapper dresses, head pieces, feathers, pearls, glitters, sequins, Art Deco inspired dresses, outstanding mens suits, want to wear a tuxedo? Do it! Stripped or plaid suits, suspenders, bow ties, gangster suits, top hats & newsboy hats are encouraged. Pinterest ideas to search: 1920s speakeasy party fashion, jazz age lawn party, roaring 20's party and gatsby party. Dress in your finest attire and inhale the magical spirit of glamour. Aside of just the Gatsby theme, you can sure expect to see some surprises of the oddities & vintage circus feeling.. Let’s not forget...it IS Halloween after all :)

At a wedding if signifies the start of a new beginning of life for the bride and groom. A Brass band leads the bridal party and the guests from the ceremony to the reception venue or it may take place at the reception itself. ... The first line is usually a brass band and the ones being honored, the newlyweds.
If you don’t stay in one of our hotel blocks, there are so many hotels in the French Quarter and direct surrounding neighborhoods. It's really up to what your hotel preference is like. There are some charming small boutique hotels that have a vintage feel, but may not have the most up to date amenities. All along Canal Street there are the chain hotels. Also, you may want to consider AirBnB. The houses in the area are some of the most beautiful in the country.
Unfortunately, unless the invitation specifies the additional guest, we cannot have accommodate extra guests. The room has a capacity we need to watch. This includes children. We love you and we promise we are planning the most grand event for you so you won't find yourself left alone at the celebration. We know some of you are traveling, so travel with who you wanted to be your date! You will have Halloween night to explore and hang out with them, plus any additional days you book your stay for. We are planning on setting up group excursions later on in the week they can join in on. We know it also makes it easier for planning accommodations when its two people.
No, the ticket is a keepsake and you are not required to bring it to the wedding. Upon arrival of the second line you will check in with our day of coordinator and she will be giving you something special (another keepsake), as your "speak easy" password style entry to the reception.
Please let us know if you are not able to walk a few blocks, due to injuries or anything personal. We want to accommodate your needs.
It depends on what you're looking to do. Halloween will be celebrated thru out the city the weekend before Halloween day. VooDoo Fest is a giant music festival that takes place in City Park and takes over the town. If you are looking for a more of a mellow time in New Orleans (is that even possible?!) then we would suggest coming for the weekend after. Prices may be more affordable too for hotels. We may be planning some group excursions a couple days after the wedding.
No. You don't need one unless you are making day excursions, in which case there are a few rental car places downtown. Parking is a nightmare in the city, just don't do it!
We highly suggest you do not drive into the quarter for any of the wedding festivities. Street car, walking or taking a taxi/Uber to the events is the best way to go.
Wearing heels in New Orleans can be tough, so if you go for heels I’d advise against stiletto types or very tall ones. I will be wearing heels but they are smaller.
