A stunning cathedral on the sea. Beautiful on the outside. Inside it is known for being made up of 3 churches on top of each other. Well worth a visit.
There is a street from the port of Trani to the south end of the city. It is a great place for a walk after dinner and is often filled with locals.
The port of Trani is a great place to go. Plenty of restaurants, bars and a great view.
A city park which you will also be seeing on the day of the wedding . The ceremony venue, il fortino, is accessed through the park. It is common for locals to walk in the park during the day and even after way after dark after dinner. It is very safe and filled with families and children all day and night. There is also a decent playground for children and sometimes a small train which you can ride , usually filled with young children.
Great pizza place near the port.
A great option for seafood sandwiches. Reasonably priced and great to take away and eat in.
Great restaurant for meat lovers. The adventurous of you can try the regional favourite, cavalli (horse meat). It is delicious. There are other meats for the less adventurous. Don’t forget to get the scamorza alla brace (grilled scamorza cheese), it’s amazing.
Laura’s favourite bar for a spritz! Lovely sea view, nice drinks and the food is pretty good too. It gets a bit more party in the evening with DJs playing sometimes.
A nice rooftop bar with a view over the port, accessed through the hotel. A bit pricey for food so we will often go for a drink and some snacks before dinner. Often busy so may need to be booked.
A nice lido with sandy beach into the sea. There is also a restaurant here for lunch and snacks.
For those who would like to extend their stay in Puglia, alberobello is a UNESCO heritage site. Known for its traditional Trulli (cone shaped traditional dry stone houses).
For those who would like to extend their stay in Puglia, Matera is a beautiful historic town. It is possible to visit in a day trip. Whilst it is beautiful. Be prepared for a lot of winding streets, cobbles, and steps. This may be a tricky location if you will be going with a pushchair.
